The Reckless and the Brave

Come one, Come all

*Kayak's POV*

"Where are you going in such a hurry?" My mom asked, puzzled at my speed. "Dekoda's house" I said quickly, pulling on my Toms to finish off my outfit.

I had on a black Motionless In White shirt with a black, grey, and white striped cardigan, with a pair of acid wash grayish skinny jeans, kept up by a blue and pink belt. The belt matched my shoulder length hair, which was a bright pink that faded into a dark purplish-blue color.

I ran out the door and down the street as fast as I could, determined to get to Dekoda's house as soon as possible. When I got to the door, I knocked loudly. "Alex and Dekoda! Alex and Dekoda! Alex and Dekoda!" I screamed at the door, hoping someone could hear me.

Finally, I couldn't stand the suspense and I threw the door open. Stepping inside, I saw Dekoda run at me, automatically screaming things about free merch. I joined in, yelling about meeting cute boys, and meeting our other idols.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Alex and Jack appear from the entrance of the kitchen. Knowing that Alex was watching me, I tensed up a little. I couldn't help it, he was so cute.

Suddenly an idea came to me. I ran past Jack and Alex into the kitchen and rummaged through the cabinet until I found what I was looking for.

I ran back into the living room with the bottle of Jack Daniels in hand. "We don't have champagne, but you know what? Fuck it" I unscrewed the bottle and took a sip. It burned a little down my throat, but I liked it.

"Alright boat girl, give it here!" Alex laughed. As I handed him the bottle, our fingers brushed, sending a bolt of electricity up my arm. He took a sip and yelled, "WOOO!" then passed the bottle off to Jack, who followed his lead.

"Come on Dekoda! It's your turn!" Jack smiled at her, and I saw a hint of something in his eyes. Dekoda took the bottle and took a reasonable sip. I snatched the bottle back and stuck it towards the sky. "Long live us!" I boomed, the rest of the group cheering along with me.

"You know what boat girl? You sure know how to party!" Alex exclaimed with a sly smile. I felt my face go hot as I looked at my shoes. Suddenly Dekoda spoke, "can Kayak come with us?" She asked innocently.

We watched Alex go through the possibilities in silence. "There are six bunks...which is me, you, Jack, Zack, Rian, plus Flyzick..." He stated hesitantly. "I'll sleep on the couch!" I spoke up.

"Pleeeease?" Dekoda begged. I watched Alex think. "I'll talk to Flyzick, okay?" He said finally.

"Thank you, Alex!" Dekoda said happily, running over and wrapping him in a hug. I watched as she almost knocked him to the ground with her embrace. As she let go she turned to me. "I have to go pack!" She stated, running up the stairs. I followed right behind her.

When we got up to her room, I slammed the door behind her. "Dude. This is so cool! Do you think I'm gonna be able to go?' I wondered out loud. "I already know you're going" Dekoda said confidently. I just looked at her for a second.

"How?" I questioned. She had gone to her closet to get her suitcase and she paused to look up at me. "Are you serious?"

I just looked at her. "Oh my god. My brother obviously has a thing for you dude" she replied, laughing. "Are you kidding me?" I asked curiously. Dekoda started laughing so hard that her eyes began to water. She had even fallen onto the floor. Suddenly, she sat up.

"Do you like him?" She asked, eyes wide. "Maybekindofjustalittleyeah" I muttered. "What?" Dekoda asked, confused. "YEAH!" I loudly. Just then, the music stopped and everything was completely silent. "AWWW!" Dekoda crooned.

"I ship you guys!" She laughed. I rolled my eyes. This is Alex Gaskarth we're talking about here. He didn't like me. Or did he?
