"Well, considering I'm never busy-" I flashed a look at Alex, "and I have no big plans, I would love to!" I said with excitement.
Jack smiled even wider and came over to hug me.
"Thanks Dekoda!" he cheered, squeezing me tightly. He let me go and turned to Alex.
"See? I knew she would be up for it'" he declared smugly.
Alex ran a hand through his hair, muttering about how of course Jack knew it, and of course he was right about everything.
"When are we leaving?" I interrupted.
"Friday!" Jack squealed with joy.
I was about to laugh at his giddiness when I realized something.
"Today is Wednesday"
I spoke my thoughts out loud.
"And tomorrow is Thursday" Alex said slowly, speaking to me as if I was four.
"Shut up, you little shit!" I blurted, running back up the stairs. "Where are you going?" Jack called to me.
"I have to call Kayak!" I screamed back with happiness.
Bounding on to my bed, I picked up my phone and went to my favorites list. Poking hurriedly at the touch screen, I managed to hit her name. Beeeep. Beeeep. Beeeep.
The ringing seemed to last forever.
"Hello" Kayaks voice said bluntly over the phone. It was never really a question, but a statement.
"Guess what you little tit monkey!" I shouted into the phone.
"What?" She asked, picking up on my excitement.
"Guess who ATLs new Merch Girl is? ME!" I laughed and kicked my feet gleefully.
"Are you...is this? Are you serious?" She stumbled over her words.
"Yeah Im serious!"
"Im coming over. Right now." She hung up, and I figured that she was being serious. I tossed my phone onto the soft carpeted floor and watched it bounce. Jumping on my bed I sang to the lyrics of Stay Awake, which had just ironically come on. I was beyond excited.
