*Dekoda's POV*
As we sat in the car, fingers interlaced, A thousand years by Christina Perry floated through the air. I sang along quietly, looking out the window, occasionally looking at Jack. My boyfriend. My boyfriend Jack. Well, I think we're officially dating. That would take some getting used to.
"You're pretty good" Jack stated, his eyes leaving the road for a second to look at me. "What?"
"At singing" he said simply. I blushed and looked out the window. "Thanks" I said. Jack squeezed my hand lightly. We pulled into the driveway and hopped out of the car, our hands locked together as we walked to the door.
We stopped at the door and Jack turned to me, grabbing my other hand. "So...you wanna be my girlfriend?" He asked, casually but sweetly. "I would love to" I smiled, leaning in to kiss him. Our lips met for a second time, fire shooting through my whole body.
The door was thrown open quickly, followed by Alex's voice screaming. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" he yelled loudly. We both stood in shock for a moment before his laughter broke through our confusion. "Im totally fucking with you guys" he giggled. I gave him a dirty look and punched him in the arm.
"You're an ass" I told him. He just laughed as I pushed by him into the house. Kayak was trying to stifle her laughter on the couch. She screamed as I ran at her, jumping on top of her. "Are you laughing me, you little bitch?" I joked. Kayak stopped and her face was dead serious. "Yeah."
"Oh. Well then" I made my own face blank. Then I began laughing as I tickled her, ignoring her screams to stop. Jack and my brother were laughing from the door. Finally when I decided she was punished well enough, I got off of her and went to the kitchen. "Is anyone else hungry?"
My question was greeted by a chorus of agreement. I grabbed two boxes of macaroni from the pantry and put a pot full of water on the stove. Alex went to the fridge and got a beer out for everyone. Kayak and I lifted ourselves on to the counter. "So when will the guys be here tomorrow?" Kayak asked, taking a sip of her beer.
"Around 7" Alex answered. Kayak was full of questions about where we were going, when we would be there, what to expect. The boys laughed and answered them as I completed our dinner, pouring the noodles into four separate bowls.
We talked until about 11:30, deciding that if we didn't go to bed now, we would all be cranky in the morning. After saying our goodnights, Kayak and I went upstairs, where I fell into a peaceful slumber.
