Six Feet Under The Stars

*Jack's POV*

"Thank you! You guys rock!" Alex yelled to the crowd, earning us a round of cheers. I could top that pretty easily.

"This isn't that many bras" I said loudly into the microphone, picking up one. The audience screamed loudly and I laughed. I looked over at Alex who had a bra on his head and was doing a dance. The crowd was going crazy so I decided to join him. I picked a pink bra off the mic stand, wrapped it around my head and ran over to Alex, copying his silly motions and dancing on him.

"JALEX IS REAL!" A girl screamed, followed by more calls, telling us to kiss and stuff. I grabbed Alex by his shirt and looked out into the crowd. "What do you guys think? Should we?" Everyone was yelling and screaming. I looked at Alex and leaned in slowly and at the last minute spun around and danced away.

The sound from the audience was deafening. I saw Alex laughing his ass off out of the corner of my eye. He picked up his mic and thanked the crowd. We were prompted by all for an encore and of course preformed one. We played For Baltimore, thanked the crowed one last time and made our way off stage, dodging incoming bras and other undergarments.

"Good job guys" Flyzick complimented quickly as he walked by. "Naturally!" Rian yelled to him with a laugh. "We have a signing in ten minutes" Zack said as he wiped the sweat from his forehead, placing his bass back in its case.

"You guys go and I'll go check on Kayak and Dekoda" Alex said. "I'll go with you" I joined in. "Ten minutes okay?" Zack reminded us. "We know!" Alex and I called back in unison as we walked to our tent. We got there with only a few stops from fans, asking for signatures or pictures. We had about 7 minutes when we actually got to our tent which (fortunately for us) was running slow.

I crept up behind Dekoda and wrapped my arms around her, making her jump slightly and then relax into me. "Hey there" she greeted me happily and turned around to kiss me. "How was your set?" She asked

"It was awesome!" I said. "Yeah, it was pretty intense thanks to Jack" Alex laughed. Dekoda and Kayak looked to each other then back to me. "Jalex moment?" They asked together. "Total Jalex moment" Alex and I agreed. Just then I noticed a tiny figure slumped over in a chair, sleeping, off to my right.

"Who's that?" I whispered to Dekoda.

"She-"

"That's Lyla" Kayak interjected before Dekoda could speak. "She looked like she was dying so I have her some water and let her chill here" she explained. Suddenly Lyla screamed and sat up-right, clutching her head. "Get out! Get out! Make it stop!" She screamed.

Dekoda and Kayak ran over to her and within seconds had her quiet. "Are you okay?" Kayak asked cautiously. Lyla relaxed but was still breathing heavily.

"Bad dream" she muttered, looking around. "What time is it?" She looked scared and confused. Dekoda pulled out her phone. "7:45" she told her calmly. Lyla sat forward and put her head in her hands. "Fuck! I missed basically everyone I wanted to see" she groaned. "Great."

Kayak looked over at Alex with a little spark in her eyes. She ran over to him and whispered something in his ear. He looked briefly confused, then smiled. I heard him whisper something that sounded like 'sure' back to Kayak.

Alex walked over to Lyla. "We wouldn't be able to get you your own personal show, but if it's cool with you, we can bring you to meet the other bands and drive you home later" he offered with a smile. Lyla's head snapped up. "Really?" She questioned in amazement. "Really" Alex smiled even wider. He loved making fans happy.

"Thank you!" She cried and stood to hug Alex, then Kayak. Dekoda walked over to me and kissed me on the cheek. "If I remember correctly, you have a signing to be at in two minutes" she whispered to me.

"Shit! Alex let's go or we're going to be late for the signing!"

*Zack's POV*

After the signing we walked around and saw some last performances including The Wonder Years, We Came As Romans, and a few others. After that we went back to help pack up the merch tent and get ready to go. The tent was manned only by the crew and Flyzick, making me vaguely wonder where Kayak and Dekoda had gone.

All of our stuff was packed and we were all headed for the bus when I heard the familiar voices behind us. Dekoda ran up behind Jack and hopped onto his back with as much lithe as a cat. I heard laughter behind me and I knew it wasn't only Kayak's. As I turned around I was surprised by a face I had never seen before, and a beautiful face at that.

The girl had a tall, thin body and dark black hair. She piercing green eyes and a nose ring like mine. I wondered quietly who she was.

We all sat outside the bus and on lawn chairs, Alex, Kayak, Jack, Dekoda and Rian all talking about the 'Jalex Moment'. The black haired girl sat in a chair not far from me. "Better watch out Kodes, Alex might steal your man!" Rian warned with a laugh. "Oh hell no!" Dekoda screeched and ran over to Jack's chair to sit on his lap.

"Yo, Zack! Lyla! Come sit near us!" Alex called suddenly. Lyla. "I don't think there's room" I said. "Come on, Zack!" Dekoda prompted me. "We need to introduce you to Lyla!" I stood up and brought my chair into their circle, Lyla sitting next to me on my left.

"Zack, this is Lyla. Lyla, this is Mr. Skateboard-muscle man-shy guy-Zack" Rian introduced us. "Thanks Buzz cut" I retorted, earning me a round of 'ooohs' And 'burns'. Rian just laughed. I turned to my left to face the girl. "I'm Zack" I smiled, shaking Lyla's hand. "Get some" Jack slipped in between fake coughs, earning a kick in the shin from Dekoda.

*Lyla's POV*

Dekoda kicked Jack in the shin, silencing him temporary. I knew I was probably blushing and I hoped it wasn't too noticeable. "Jack you're embarrassing her!" Dekoda muttered quietly, but I still heard her. Damn. Jack kissed her on the mouth for a few seconds and made her laugh which luckily, was a conversation starter for Alex.

"Ew get a roooom!" Alex groaned over exaggeratedly. His whine only made Jack kiss her again, but longer and noticeably more lustful. Rian was laughing so hard that his chair tipped over backwards. That's when Zack started laughing. He had a brilliant smile and the cutest laugh. I must have been smiling too, because Zack turned to look at me and smiled even wider. He looked at me for a second and opened his mouth, ready to say something.

"I want booooze!" Jack yelled out, lifting Dekoda up off of him. He picked her up and ran into the bus, their laughter loud and happy as they disappeared. You could still hear them on the bus as they got out the bottles. Soon enough, they burst out of the bus with large amounts of alcohol.

Everyone talked and drank and asked me questions about myself. I told them I shared a house with a shitty room mate who did stupid stuff and all the stories about her. "Hey! Your roomie seems like a wackjob. You should stay with us!" Kayak spluttered drowsily. I thought about it for a second and realized I had nothing better to do, so I agreed, causing a round of cheers.

The rest of the night went by in a blur and soon it was only Zack, Rian and I left outside in the dark. "I feel like a zombie so I'm heading to bed. See you guys tomorrow!" Rian got back on to the bus slowly, leaving me and Zack alone.

"So..um, do you want to go for a walk maybe? There's a cool little pond not too far away if you-"

"I'd love too" I interrupted him, seeing as he was struggling a little with his words. We stood and began to follow a pathway that went right. "You can hold my hand if you get scared" Zack offered quietly. I giggled a little. "Nice" I smiled, taking his hand. It was warm and soft and comforting.

We walked in silence till we reached a pretty pond and a nice white gazebo, bathed in moonlight. We walked over to the steps of the little structure and sat down, hands still intertwined. He looked up at the stars. I followed his example. The stars twinkled brightly and I was mesmerized in seconds. "There's room for two, six feet under the stars" Zack whispered. My stomach exploded with butterflies.

We sat there for a long time, just looking at the sky. I leaned my head against Zack's shoulder and soaked up the moment. It was so peaceful, so perfect. In fact, it was so peaceful that I fell asleep nuzzled into the beautiful boy.
