"Taaaaylor" Jasons voice was deep and laced with hidden meaning as he slid his arm around her shoulders and pulled her away from the metal locker and in to his side

"Jason, what a surprise" her tone of voice making it clear that it was anything but

"Well it is Friday and you know what that means..."

Taylor bit back a smile as she pushed the tall boy with golden skin and  brown hair away from her and placed her hands on her hips

"Look Jason, why don't we just skip the whole 'Flirting Friday' routine and just get straight to the 'not in your wildest dreams fuck boy? '"

"Come to dinner with me and I will tell you all about my 'wildest dreams, they include you, me and my bed'"

Taylor couldn't help but scrunch her face up as though the thought of going on a date with Jason or ending up in bed with Jason was enough to make her ill

"Taylor..." Sara placed a hand on her friends shoulder "You've gone really pale, did you just throw up a little in your mouth?" both girls dissolved in giggles, enjoying Jasons discomfort just a little bit too much

"Fuck you Sara, don't you have a test to study for or something, that is how you spend your Friday nights isn't it?" Jason turned his back to her so his attention was fully on Taylor meaning he didn't see the way his words had wounded her friend.

"Don't you dare speak to her like that" demanded a very angry looking Taylor as she slammed her locker door shut and stared daggers up at the taller boy

"Come on Taylor, ever girl in this school would die to go on a date with me and here I am asking..."

"Begging" Taylor corrected him

"Asking you for just one date and you act as though I'm asking you to come eat dog shit with me"

"Eating dog shit might actually be preferable to saying yes to a date with you"

"Ouch!" Jason grabbed his chest above his heart in fake agony but Taylor could see she had actually hurt his feelings.

This whole cherade was part of their Friday routine so usually she wasn't so brutal but the rejection from earlier still stung and she couldn't help but take it out on the boy that refused to take no for an answer.

Jason wasn't a bad catch, in fact to most girls in the school and beyond he would be the perfect catch but he was a jock, star quarterback in fact and Taylor had no intention of becoming a notch on the bed post of anyone no matter how attractive or desirable they were

"What's got your panties so twisted anyways? Your knock backs aren't usually so savage"

"She's sulking because a college guy rejected her when he found out she was still in high school"

"Sara!!" Taylor slapped her friends arm gently and pouted "I am not sulking, it's his loss" she crossed her arms tightly over her chest and plastered on her most defiant look she could muster

"A college guy?" Jason shook his head "Keep away from them Tay, they are all assholes"

"And what do you know about it 'high school boy'?"

"My brother's in college, well, just got kicked out of college actually, and he's the biggest asshole you will ever meet, he has a different girl leaving our house each morning, my moms starting to worry the neighbour's think we are running a brothel out of our house"

Both Taylor and Sara scrunched their noses up at the thought of Jasons manwhore brother

"Not all college guys are like that" Taylor argued, not wanting to believe that Travis from table 14 could ever be the kind of guy that changed girl as regularly as he changed his socks.

"Well I guess you will never find out if they keep on rejecting you. Anyways..."Again his arm snaked over her shoulder" About that date... "

Taylor pretended to give it some thought and then looked up in to his doe brown eyes, startled for a second by the length of his thick black eyelashes and the hope his eyes still held even though she must have rejected him close to 50 times by now.

A date was just a date though right? Just dinner or something, she didn't have to actually kiss him, didn't have to do anything another than eat and chat with him.

He must have recognized her hesitation because his hands slipped from her shoulder quickly to cup her face

"Dinner, tonight, 7 o'clock???"

His eyes begged in a way his words never could and she felt her resolve begin to crumble.

No matter what she said Travis' rejection because of her age had hurt her, she wasn't used to not getting the man she wanted, she wasn't used to being told no for anything if she was honest and she didn't like how it made her feel. The doubts it put in to her head

Maybe an evening with the ever keen Jason Kelce was just what she needed to give her ego a little bit of a lift and if she were to say no she would only end up sitting around in her pj's watching rom-coms with Sara whilst eating her weight in popcorn and chocolate and she could happily do that tomorrow night whilst talking about what a terrible date she had suffered through.

"Okay"

Sara and Jason both choked loudly as she forced the word over her lips, almost regretting it immediately

"Seriously?!" Sara's face couldn't mask her genuine surprise at how easily her friend had caved after months of saying no.

"Yeah, if you want to take me out and pay for me to eat then sure, why not?"

"You wont regret it I promise" Jason squeezed her cupped cheeks in his hands as he pressed a kiss to her forehead.

"I better not, but first there are rules" Taylor pried his fingers from her face

"Of course there are, I agree to all of them immediately"

"No hand holding, no kissing, no intimate touching of any kind and once it's over no more 'Flirting Friday' deal?"

" Deal but Taylor" she lifted her eyebrows to question what "One date with me baby girl and you are going to be begging me for hand holding, kissing, intimate touching of every kind and so much more. I promise you that"

With a wink he turned and almost skipped down the hall leaving both girls with amused looks on their faces.

"What happened to no jocks?"

"No high school girls happened Sara. That's what"
