Dropping down on to the soft grass Taylor sighed heavily and pulled her knees up to her chest

"Soooo???" Sara plopped down next to her best friend and eyed her expectedly

"So what?"

"So how was your date with Jason, King Of The Jocks?"

Taylor shook her head and laughed at her friends silliness. Sara always had such a way with words and giving nicknames was one of her favourite pastimes.

"It was good" Taylor replied honestly but her voice was lacking the enthusiasm you would expect following a first date and her friend spotted it immediately

"But that's not Taylors 'good date' face, that's Taylors..." leaning forward until their faces were just inches apart Sara scrunched her nose and eyed here friend intently trying to read the emotions she was trying to hide

"That's Taylors 'blah date' face"

"No I swear, it was good, dinner was good, company was good, good, good, good"

"OK so that's Taylors 'he couldn't keep his hands to himself' face? "

"Wrong again, he was a perfect gentleman"

"Jason Kelce was a perfect gentleman... Are you being serious right now?"

"He abided by every single rule"

"So why the face? It isn't the 'I regret not letting him kiss me' face is it?" Sara pretended to put her fingers down her throat as both girls giggled loudly

"No, this is actually the 'Travis turned me down again' face" Taylor kicked out her legs and pouted

"Oh, the mystical creature that is Travis from table 14"

"Sara, if I ask you something will you be honest with me?" Taylor tilted her head to the side, her eyes begging

"Always"

"Am I a total troll or what?"

Sara laughed she hard at the question that she almost choked and had to lie back down on the grass to give herself time to recover

"No of course you aren't a troll, you my dear are little blond bombshell"

"Then why doesn't he want me?!" Taylor wailed whilst dropping back and lying shoulder to shoulder with the Asian girl

"Because you are a little blond bombshell that still attends high school, that's why. It has nothing to do with your looks, that's for sure"

"But Sara, I'm 18, I'm legal!" Sara turned on to her side and stared at Taylor for a second or two appreciating once more the reason all of the guys in school wanted a chance to spend some time alone with Taylor Swift. Her features were striking, her lips full and pouty and her blond waves framed her face as though it were a work of art

"Arent you at least glad he has standards Tay?"

"I don't want him to have standards though, I want him to have me! Sara he is so fucking hot. Do you know that he wears a hair band? A fucking hair band for Christ sake. Do you know what a major turn on that is? "

"Taylor..." Sara's cheeks blushed red as Taylors mind descended down in to the gutters

"I swear to God if I saw him standing in front of me, naked except for that hairband and that sexy smile of his I would absolutely cum on the spot, he wouldn't even have to touch me"

"Ugh, Taylor!!!" Sara covered her ears with her hands as she flopped back down on to the grass

"No sex talk in front of the child"

"Sara you are 18, you are going to have to learn about these things eventually"

"No way. I'm never getting a boyfriend, there's no way I'm letting anyone put their 'thing' in my 'thing' no way, not happening. I'm going to be Sara Song-singleton, forever! "

Lying flat on their backs on the field that ran adjacent to the basket ball court, the two girls laughed wildly before descending in to a comfortable silence.

They had met the very first day of high school, bonding over their shared love of art and music and they had been inseparable ever since.

To the outside world it probably made no sense, Taylor was loud and gregarious, popular with both girls and boys, jocks, nerds, and everyone in between where as Sara was quiet and reserved, not really sharing herself with anyone other than the girl lying to the left of her.

"So what do you think about Jason, are you going to see him again?"

Taylor thought about it, dinner had been nice, the movie at his house was fine, she'd canceled their arranged coffee date feeling too frustrated after her run in with Travis to stomach anything more but that didn't mean she didn't want to see Jason again and then there was Travis...

Travis...

Just the sound of his name provoked more of a reaction from her than Jason had the entire time she was with him, but he was older, he had a rule and try as she might she couldn't magic herself any older than she was so she assumed she was just going to have to push him to the back of her mind and what better way to do that than to distract her self with Jason

"Yeah...i think I probably will. He's cute and we had a good time so why not?"

Suddenly a loud anguished groan cut through their conversation and both girls shot up to their feet

"What the hell was that?! " Taylor looked around to see where the noise had come from

"Oh my God, look at that guy Tay, he's punching the wall so hard he's going to break his hand"

"What a weirdo" Said Taylor as the man smashed his hand in to the bricks once more before turning around and and gasping for air

"Oh my fucking God... It's Travis!" Immediately Taylor began running in the direction of the the obviously distraught man but Sara grabbed her wrist and firmly pulled her back

"Taylor don't, you don't know him, he could be dangerous"

"He's not dangerous Sara, he's hurt!"

"Because he's been punching a brick wall Taylor, please, leave him"

"He needs me"

"He doesnt want you!!! Taylor please..."

"Sara, it is not about that he's hurt, he's upset I can't leave him like that, he won't hurt me I know he won't"

"How do you know that? Yay, all you know about the guy is that he's hot and wears a hairband just leave him alone, please, I'm begging you" but it was too late, Taylor had ripped her arm from her friends grasp and was now running as fast as she could to the figure that was sitting hunched against the wall, his knuckles shredded and his breath ragged.
