Chapter 18

Aaron says," goodnight agent."
She nods and goes on her way thinking of what he could have said.
She looks at everyone and say," I am going to leave try to catch some sleep."
Morgan gets up and says," I'll take you."
Reid says," I am going to catch the bus. "
Emily says," I'll take jj home."
They all walk out of the building and go there seperate ways.
Aaron texts her," I have to quit. If I don't stop I'll lose her."
She texts back,"so give your dream job for someone who might or might not be cheating on you." She walks in to the door with Morgan. Morgan says," you been acting weird lately. Like really glued to your phone."
Alice says," I am just catching up with an old friend."
Morgan says," is there anything I can do to brighten your mood?"
She says," honestly I just need to find someone to date for a while or a vacation."
Morgan's eyes widen and says," you want to go to like speed dating night at the bar we always go to? It's going to be tomorrow night."
Alice shrugs and says," I think I should probably do something because this job is consuming my life."
Morgan says," you have been off lately . You ever think about taking some days off? The reaper is the next case even though he's told hotch to leave him alone. He's the reason hotch has those scars."
Alice says," Great so go after someone who's already over powered our boss that sounds fun. How did he escape last time if you guys had him."
Morgan says," he threatened Hotch. We arrested him and he escaped."
My phone bings. Morgan says," I am going to get some sleep."
Hotch texts," tomorrow on time with a smile on your face."
She rolls her eyes climbing in her bed and texts," to catch the guy you already should have gotten. "
Hotch texts," watch your mouth agent. You have no idea what you are talking about."
She texts," I know Haley is out the house with Jack."
Hotch blows up her phone with calls as she falls asleep. She wakes up the next morning and gets dressed after going in to the bathroom brushing her teeth as she puts on her deodorant. She picks up her phone. The missed text from Hotch read," my office tomorrow."
She sprays herself and looks at the clock. 7:20. She rolls her eyes as she walks out trying not to wake Morgan. She text Hotch," meet me at the cafe you run by."
She gets in her car driving the fifteen mins to the cafe.
She walks in ordering her usual. She was unsure if Hotch was actually going to come looking around as her drink and food is getting delivered to her. The waitress says," Waiting on your boyfriend?"
She looks at her in confusion. The server says," Tall dark and handsome. With raven colored eyes."
She laughs and says," my boss."
The server smiles and says," maybe but he likes you."
Alice laughs and says," He's an asshole don't let him foul you."
The server says," not bad eye candy though," as she walks away.
She drinks her coffee biting her coffee cake. He briskly walks in and says," agent what do you need?"
She rolls her eyes finishing her coffee cake. She says," what is your problem ?Blowing  up my phone . Is this because your wife doesn't love you or is the fact that the case we are working on is a slip up from you."
He growls," shut your mouth."
She bites her lip and says." I thought you liked it wide open." She grabs her coffee leaving him speechless. He says," Alice."
She keeps walking outside sipping on her coffee. He grabs her wrist and pulls her to the other side of the building. She drops her coffee and says," Aaron what the fuck."
He looks in her eyes and says," I need you to stop being like this with me."
Alice says," being like what? You don't think you are unfair to me?"
He says," you constantly put in a weird headspace like you read my mind. I was pissed the other day because she served me. With the reaper back he's threatening my family. He threatened them before. I can't get close to anyone at all. It's not safe."
She says," you think I am scared of some serial killer we catch them."
Hotch says," I am married man we can't do this."
Alice says," she's literally cheating on you. If you don't want to be with me that's fine just leave me the fuck alone."
He rubs his hair and says," you don't want to be with me. It's not a good choice for you."
Alice says," I get it you want to be married and unhappy for the rest of your life."
He says," you know nothing about me."
She says," I know you want to be happy with Haley because of Jack that you are not. I know you are scared of the reaper because he's the one who caused the scars. I know you don't think you are good for anyone. I know you grew up with an abusive father."
Hotch says," my wife is literally hiding from this man who feeds on fear. He's coming after me he's coming after my son. I don't have time for this drama back and forth with you."
Alice says," then you shouldn't have let him go the first time."
Hotch frustratedly says," I didn't let him go. How dare you accuse me of risking my job."
Alice rolls her eyes and says," like you did to El? Go fuck yourself Aaron."
He looks at her with anger and says," you already did several times. Begged for me over and over. Like the pathetic little brat you are."
She walks off racing off to the office. She walks inside sitting at her office. He walks in furiously. She hears him say," who's there buddy?"
The rush of the squad walks in. Hotch motions for everyone to come around him putting his phone on speaker. Jack says," Daddy is George a bad guy."
Everyone in shock as they listen as hotch tries to walk around the fact of Jack being in danger. He says," buddy i need you to do Daddy a favor and work the case. Please for me. Let me talk to mommy."
