Augustus sat down in his chair without the grace he had displayed earlier, his face still unreadable. This made Severus irritated more than anything.

He opened and closed his mouth several time before he kept it closed, his face still unreadable. Severus looked up at the clock and saw that it was past midnight, so much for going to sleep early. "If you will excuse me, I have class tomorrow, and I'd prefer to stay awake throughout the day." He stood and was nearly out the door when Lord Prince called out.

"Wait! Severus, please..." his voice cracked with emotion, making Severus stop in his tracks.

Getting fed up with the old man, he whipped around and snarled, "What? D'you want to take another jab at me? Tell me what an idiot I was for joining the Death Eaters?" He eyed Augustus coldly and spat out before the other could even form a thought, "Well too damn bad." And with that he spun back around and stormed out of the office, a few trinkets vibrated as he walked past them, others falling completely off of their shelves.

Augustus's entire body slumped in his chair as soon as Severus was out of the office. "They both have the infamous Prince temper..." Albus mused sadly when his eyes finally came to a stop on his old friend.

"What can I do, Albus?" he asked quietly, his head in his hands.

"Wait for Severus to calm down and then apologize." He stated simply, a tiny bit of sympathy leaking into his voice.

"Don't pity me, old man," Augustus growled as he sat up. He knew damn well that he had done this to his own self, and that he would have to fix it... he hated being the bigger man and caving first. It showed weakness in his opinion.

Albus smiled, that was the Gus that he knew. "Who are you calling old?" he asked, cheerfully, "If my memory serves me right, you were the one a few years ahead of me."

"That's a mighty big 'if' Albus," Augustus growled, falling into the bantering mood that he and Albus had adapted throughout their years at Hogwarts. True he had been a few years ahead of his "younger sibling" but that was the whole point. Back then Hogwarts had an unmentioned rule that older students would pick a firstie as their "younger sibling". And it just so happened that he would pick a student that got sorted into Gryffindor...

Albus merely smiled in response, "Would you like to stay the rest of the night here, or would you like some help restoring your Receiving Rooms?"

Augustus sighed, he would really like to apologize to Severus as soon as possible to get it over with and because they were all the other had. But he knew how long it could take a Prince to cool down, as he was one... there was a very small chance that Severus wouldn't be mad by tomorrow.

"I could always use some help from Batty Lad the Lion..." Augustus mused, causing a sharp twinkle to enter Albus's eye for a split second, before he burst out laughing.

When he calmed down, Albus said, "You do realize you just gave me permission to call you nothing but Gus for the rest of your days?"

Augustus opened his mouth before he snapped it shut and said through clenched teeth, "Damn it... damn it...."

Albus laughed again, rather pleased with himself, "Ready to go?"

"I knew that you should have been sorted into Slytherin," Augustus said without answering him. It was then that he remembered that they still had to deal with the Death Eaters. "What will become of the idiots?" he gestured to the still form of Bellatrix.

Albus fell deep into thought then, what could they do with them?

!REVIEW!

"Come on Regulus!" Severus shouted, "I know you can do better than that!" He had just come from the headmaster's office and dragged Regulus into the Room of Requirement to blow off some steam. He was still massively livid with Lord Prince.
