The next day, when the Hogwarts Express left the station, it was short a student, which went unnoticed by most, except a select few.

"Where could he be?" Lily practically shouted at Remus, who was worried like her.

"I don't know, Lily, maybe he just stayed up late and didn't get up on time this morning," Remus said calmly, trying to ease her mind, but it wasn't working.

"He could go on a few hours' sleep and still wake up on time, damn it!" Lily shouted. They were supposed to be conducting a Prefects meeting, but obviously they weren't.

"Evans," a Hufflepuff prefect started, "you can worry about Snape later, we need to get this meeting over with."

Lily glared at him, and recognized him as one of the 'puffs at the Order meeting. "Same shit as last time, Sanders. We all know that these meetings are pointless. Everyone go and patrol their respective cars."

They all looked shocked for a moment, but quickly filed out of the compartment, except for McKinnon. She walked up to the Head Students and said, "I'm just as worried as you are two are, and I'm certain he's fine. But would you let me know if you find anything on Severus."

Lily narrowed her eyes slightly and before she could say anything, Remus cut in, "We will McKinnon, you had better go and patrol your car now."

She nodded and left Remus and Lily, she said, "There's no way she's as worried as I am, I'm the closest to him!"

Remus sighed and said, "I don't think anyone could be, Lily." He then said, "Look, I am almost 100% sure that Severus is absolutely fine. Dumbledore could have had him apparate directly to Hogwarts for all we know! And hundreds of things could have happened to warrant that, I doubt him being hurt is one of them."

"Yeah, like you-know-what happening!" Lily shouted in response, referring to Severus's cover being blown.

Remus set her with a look and said, "Now you're just being silly, there is no way in hell that could happen. He said abruptly, "Enough of this, we need to patrol our own car, not this compartment." And he pushed her out of the compartment and towards the Gryffindor car.

On the way there, they were stopped by Regulus, "Have you two seen Severus? He wasn't with Rosier, and I need to ask him something."

"No," Lily shook her head. "We haven't."

"Bullocks," Regulus swore. "Do you have any idea where he is then? It's about Dannie."

Lily sighed and said, "We don't know anything, except that he obviously isn't here. And what's about Dannie?"

Regulus looked around him before saying, "Dad thinks that Bella and Mother will catch on before too long that he's hiding her at our place in Ireland. And I was going to ask Sev if he knew of any other places we could hide her."

Lily nodded, while Remus looked confused, "W-who's Dannie?"

"Eridanus, my little sister, she's a squib and Bellatrix tried to kill her, but Sev brewed the antidote and now my Dad's hiding her away." Regulus explained quickly.

"Right," Remus said. "Well, you had better get back to your compartment." Regulus nodded after a moment and walked back towards the Slytherin car.

It suddenly occurred to Lily that Dobby must know where her Slytherin counterpart was. She said, "I've got to find a compartment, and empty one."

Remus gave her a strange look, but complied, "The prefect's compartment should be empty, you could go back there."

Lily nodded, "Alright, you keep patrolling and I'll join you in a moment."
