Regulus and Eridanus ended up staying much longer than a few days, as Bellatrix was taking full advantage of her pregnancy and was letting everyone know how her ankles hurt, how nauseated she was, how she was going to kill Rodolphus if he even looked at her again, and how she was going to Crucio everyone when the bloody brat was born.

As of right now, Regulus was helping Severus redo his parent's bedroom, which was now his room. "When is the baby due anyways?" Severus asked as he yanked up a rotting board, Regulus insisted that he also do it without magic, since he was still sixteen and couldn't use magic yet.

Regulus finished pulling up a board before he answered, "Well, seeing as she is three months along, sometime in June... or something of the like."

"Merlin, that's a while away. How much longer will she be-" Severus paused to pull up another rotting board, "-staying with your parents?"

Regulus stood up straight and said, "I have no bloody idea, Sev." At that moment, his stomach growled loudly, he grinned and said, "I think it's time for food."

Severus rolled his eyes and said, "Dobby!"

Not even a second later, his house-elf popped in and asked, "What can Dobby do for Master Severus and Mister Regulus?"

"Stop calling me 'Master', 'Severus' will suffice." He said sternly, and then said, "Please make us some lunch – Regulus will tell you what he wants." Severus gestured towards the shorter Slytherin boy.

Thinking for a moment, Regulus said, "I'll have Kreacher make my-"

He was cut off by Severus, "Nonsense, you're my guest, so I take responsibility for feeding you. Now tell Dobby what you want before I have to hex it out of you."

Regulus stuck his tongue out at Severus before he turned to the little house-elf and said, "Since our mutual friend, Severus here, is hell bent on me eating his food, I'd like a roast beef sandwich."

Dobby nodded and then turned to Severus, "What would Mas-Severus like?" he corrected himself swiftly at the taller Slytherin's glare.

"I'll have the same, thank you Dobby." Severus said politely and his little nervous wreck of a house-elf popped away.

Regulus sat down against the wall and at Severus's cold, questioning stare, he exclaimed, "What? It's not ruddy likely that I'm going to work while I wait for some food!"

Severus rolled his eyes and then sunk down on his parent's old worn out bed.

After a peaceful moment of no talking, Regulus interrupted it, "Y'know, I've been thinking..."

"Oh bloody hell, not again," Severus joked with a relaxed smile on his lips.

Regulus threw a nearby piece of wood at his friend and growled, "Shut up. But I have been thinking – wouldn't it make more sense to keep Lily near you instead of faraway where she's out of your reach? I mean, once you break up with her, she's open territory for Death Eaters to kill and have their fun with her..."

Severus's mood quickly went from relaxed to tense, "I have been thinking the same thing also, Regulus. I have also been thinking that my plan was complete rubbish." Regulus looked confused, so Severus continued, "The Dark Lord has been questioning me about when I was going to 'get rid of the Mudblood' – I believe those were his exact words – so I had to give him a reason as to why I've been with Lily for this long. Obviously I couldn't give him the real reason... so I told him that I was using her to better convince Albus and the Order that I am truly on the Light side, which I am."
