The three wannabe Death Eaters followed their livid superior down the long Hogwarts halls, not speaking in fear of him lashing out at them. They were headed for the Slytherin common room, actually, Severus was going there and the three dunderheads followed him.

"Snape, was Dumbledore talking about you?" Wilkes asked once they were in the Slytherin common room.

"Yes," he hissed, much to their fear. "The meddling old fool is interfering with my plans." He began to pace about the room, taking up a similar appearance to a caged tiger; he and the idiotic Slytherins were the only ones in the common room.

"Plans?" Yaxley asked, looking eager to hear what Severus might say.

He stopped his pacing and shot him a withering glare, his eyes blazing; Yaxley instantly wished he hadn't opened his mouth. Severus didn't stop there. He walked up to the insolent boy, both being around the same height, and hissed, "I know what I said, you worthless maggot, I don't need you to repeat it."

A tiny spark of fire lit in Yaxley's eyes, Severus sensed he had hit a nerve, but luckily for the said worthless maggot, he had enough sense to back down. Severus resumed his pacing until several other Slytherins entered the common room, casting fearful glances at the still livid seventh year. He still hadn't calmed down when it was time to go to classes; he was considering skipping and going to give the old codger a piece of his mind... "No, that would be too suspicious," he snarled to himself as he walked over to the transfiguration classroom with the three dunderheads flanking him.

He chose a seat in the back and the dimwits three took the desk in front of him, leaving two empty chairs on either side of him. One was soon filled with Regulus Black, one of the few Slytherins who didn't really believe in the Dark Lord's ways, but still wanted the power that came with the evil deeds; aside from Lily, Reg had been his only other true friend... he wondered if Regulus still felt the same.

"Was ol' Gryffindor talking about you at breakfast?" His friend asked in a low whisper as he adjusted his chair.

"You could say that," Severus sneered as he took out his book. "He made it so glaringly obvious; I expect hell from the Marauders."

"Well, from what I've heard, you'd be able to take them all single handedly," Regulus said, his cool gaze trailing down to Severus's left arm.

Severus rubbed his left arm and smirked, "Perhaps..." realization struck him then, Regulus was in his class, "What are you doing here? You're a year below me!"

"Ah," he said as he smirked, "I was wondering when you were going to ask that... my schedule got mucked up so Slughorn said that I could wander the castle until they fixed it," Severus shook his head; their head of house was nearly as strange as the headmaster.

Lily was sitting in the Charms class room with Alice next to her; it was a double class with some Ravenclaws. "Lily," Alice said as they waited for Professor Flitwick to come in. "D'you think that the Death Eater Professor Dumbledore was talking about is a student?"

"No," Lily said, sounding slightly shocked. "He would never let a murderer on to school grounds."

"Good morning students!" squeaked Flitwick, drowning out Alice's reply. "Is everyone here?" he looked around the room, doing a head count along the way, when he saw that everyone was indeed there he said, "Good, let's get started, shall we?"

Their conversation was long forgotten as they worked on Evanesco, trying unsuccessfully to banish their feathers. Lily's aim had been off and she accidently banished a leg from Professor Flitwick's chair, while he was sitting in it. There was a loud clatter and a dull thud as he and the chair tumbled to the floor, from the floor Lily and a few other students could see that he was shaking. Fearing for the small professor, they leaped to his aide, only to find that he was laughing.
