"My lord! I have something to share with you," Bellatrix Lestrange said excitedly, a glint in the inky blackness of her blue eyes.
"What is it, Bella?" Voldemort asked, not looking up from his new book from Borgin and Burkes, wondering just what his Death Eater wanted to share with him this time.
She started speaking, "When you had Zeta bring Severus's Mudblood here, my lord, I overheard what they were talking about when he left with her."
Voldemort's red eyes sharpened and he looked up, "Why were you eavesdropping on Severus, and why are you telling me this now, a full month after the Mudblood was here?"
"I didn't mean to!" Bellatrix insisted, "I was in the wood, coming back from St. Mungo's when I heard them, my lord! And I would have told you sooner, my lord, if my body had allowed it. This damn baby is making me sick, sicker than I have ever been before!"
His piercing gaze remained fixed on her as he set the Dark book he had just been reading aside, "Continue."
"Thank you, my lord," Bellatrix rushed out and gave him a small curtsey. "I heard the Mudblood say something that would strongly suggest that Severus has been working against you and your goals this entire time, my lord."
"For the wellbeing of yourself and your child, do spit it out Bellatrix," Voldemort warned while fingering his yew wand that handn't been in his hand before.
A whimper came from the fearsome Death Eater before she said, "It would be best if I showed you, my lord."
"Legilimens!" Voldemort barked, entering Bellatrix's mind. He took great pleasure in disrupting everything he could while he searched for the memory she had been referring to. When he found it, he immersed himself in it.
"Wait, if You-Know-Who could get into my head without trying, do you think he saw my memories of having you write to Dumbledore right after Eileen was taken?" Bellatrix heard someone ask worriedly; she stood still, wondering who belonged to the unfamiliar female voice.
She saw someone enter the trees that surrounded Malfoy Manor, and a different someone said, "It's not likely, but-" It was Snape! She had accidently snapped a twig and cut the Half-blood off before he could finish. Bella watched as Snape stood rigid with his Mudblood in his arms, staring just to her right; he looked ready to attack and she was just as ready as he was. He then growled, "I should have known better."
"Sev, what are you talking about?" the Mudblood asked, staying just as quiet as he was.
He didn't say anything, but turned on the spot and apparated them away. Rodolphus appeared just a few feet next to her and came crunching towards her. "What are you doing, Bellatrix?"
She didn't answer, instead she stalked over to where the two students had been standing and cackled like a hyena. "You should have known better, Snappey boy, because now you're as good as dead." She cackled again and began waddling back to the Manor, cradling her hands under her pregnant stomach with a maniac like smile stretched across her face.
Voldemort pulled from her mind and sighed, Bellatrix was obviously after Severus, most likely angry at his spy for rising so high in his ranks so quickly and then taking her place as his right-hand servant. "Leave me, Bella and I may not punish you for trying to frame Severus. Surely you must know that he was merely acting for the sake of keeping his cover around the Mudblood."
She stood there stupidly and then said, sounding slightly dejected, "Of course, my lord, thank you my lord."
Just as she was bowing out of the room, he felt the need to not let her off so easily, he lifted his wand and lazily sent a high powered stinging hex at her and he smirked when he heard her yelp. He then slammed the door in her face and happily returned to his book, reading into how he could perform Necromancy without putting as large of a strain on himself from using the methods he knew from studying Confronting the Faceless.
