I text Ty.
Me: I can't come
Ty: Aww! Okay, why not?
Me: I died
Ty: okay. Whats the real reason?
Me: I don't have a gift for you
Ty: I don't have one for you either. It was a last minute thing. I'm getting one later. Come anyways
Me: but ill look like a bitch, considering its my fault you went to rehab
Ty: they love you, megan. Please come
Me: okay...
Ty: okay. Come for 3, alright?
Me: dinners that early?
Ty: no but I wanna see you
Me: is trace gonna be there
Ty: no. I don't talk to them anymore
Me: why?
Ty: long story. Tell you later. I gtg though. See you .
Someone knocks on my door.
I open it. Everyone is talking and the kids are playing with toys. It's fun.
It's Dr. Harp.
My shrink. I raise my eyebrows.
"I'm here as a friend. You know, to make sure you're okay?"
"I'm good." I frown. "It's Christmas. Shouldn't you be with family?"
"None to be with." he says.
He's my age and his real name is Andrew.
"Well come in." I step aside and let him in.
Katie sees him and instantly strikes up a conversation with him. I text Ty.
Me: I know you had to go but our shrink just showed up at my door to "check on me" but he has no family.
Ty: thats awkward. You should invite him.
Me: lol okay
"You should come to dinner. We're going to Megan's boyfriends." Katie says.
"Who is Megan's boyfriend?" he asks.
"His name is Ty."
He nods, looking at me. I shrug.
"Really, you should come." I say.
"No, it's fine." he waves me off.
"I know you're Ty's shrink too." I say. "He told me. It's fine. He told me to invite you."
He sighs. "Alright. It'll be nice to get a birds eye view on the situation."

Mama R is so excited that Ty and I are back together that I hear her knocking on his door before I even get to the stairs. I lock my truck and head up.
Everyone else is in when I walk up, but Ty is waiting.
He smiles when I come up the stairs and hugs me.
"How are you?" he asks.
"I'm okay. It's so awkward with our shrink." I mutter. "Katie likes him."
"Oh. God, we gotta put a stop to that."
I smile. "I'll talk to her." I peck his lips. "Just warning you, Mama is very excited we're back together and she might bombard you with questions."
