We made love so many times that night. I wake up alone in bed.

I smell bacon.

I look at my phone.

No messages.

Nothing.

I get up and take a long hot shower. I pull on a pair of sweats and one of Ty's shirts and wander out into the living room.

I go into the kitchen. Ty's in boxers making breakfast.

I sneak up behind him and wrap my arms around him.

"Mmm, I've missed waking up to this." I murmur.

"How are you even walking?" he asks guiltily.

"It's a good pain." I mumble. I kiss his shoulder and move next to him.

"Pancakes, sausage, muffins, French toast, bacon, eggs, and orange juice? What's the occasion?"

"Can I just wake a nice breakfast for my wife?" he asks, looking at me. I just raise my eyebrows.

"We'll discuss it when we're eating."

I nod and get down two plates and two glasses. I get the butter and the syrup and the peanut butter and the ketchup and set the table.

I put down the heat things and Ty starts setting bowls down. We serve ourselves. Randomly, he leans across the table to kiss me.

"Please tell me what's going on." I whisper. We left New York a week ago and got in last night. We only pulled over to have sex one time. Today is my first full day at home with him.

He shuts his eyes.

"I think it's time we saw our family."

I laugh.

"That's cute." he blinks a few times. "Oh." I say slowly. "You're serious."

He sighs.

"At noon there's a family reunion thing...all my family will be there, yours, both of yours, Katie's..."

I shut my eyes.
"I'm not going."

"Megan, they haven't seen us since the day we told them we were getting married." he says.
"Well that's their problem. They decided not to go to the wedding. I have nobody, Ty, and we all know you're sugarcoating this family reunion. This is more like a way for them to find out why I'm so physco."

"It's at a park." he whispers.

"Who set it up?"

He sighs.

I nod. "You."

"I intended for it to be a regular family reunion but everyone insisted."

"Did you tell them I'm not physco?"

"Nobody called you physco."

I angrily stab a piece of egg.

"They didn't have to. You have fun, Ty."

"Megan, it would be a very adult thing if you met up and tried to sort this out."

"Ty, I've tried. I fail every time."

"Please just come?"

I sigh slowly.

"Alright. Fine, but if things go wrong, I'm leaving with or without you."

"Fine, fair enough."

A few hours later, we're pulling into the park.
