"Come on!" Mrs Wesley says. "Everyone has a hidden talent!"
"What's yours?" I ask.
"I can juggle." she says.
I sigh and sit back.
"I really don't want to say it."
"Come on!" Ty whines. "I don't know it!" he tugs at my hand."I know it." my shrink mutters.
"What is it?" Ty asks.
"Confidential." he says."Come on!" Katie says.
"I can't say. It's something she specifically told me not to tell and it's what she does when she's upset."
"Come on!" Ty begs, resting his chin between my breasts. His laying on top of me.
I exhale.
"I really don't want to say." I say.
He pouts.
"Will you just tell me?" he asks with a sweet smile.
I sigh and gesture for him to move closer to me. He does, and I kiss him, and then I whisper, "I can dance."
He jerks back to look into my eyes.
"Really?"
I caress his cheek with my left hand, nodding.
"Yes." I say, embarassed.
"But you said I knew everything." he pouts. I smile. He's so cute.
"You do now." I say.
"Well you lied." he says.
I run my fingers through his hair.
"I'm sorry." I whisper.
"I'm not mad." he smiles. "I just like to know everything. But...why didn't you tell me."
"For this exact reason!"
"What?" he asks.
I gesture for him to come closer.
He does.
"Because I know you want me to dance."
"Of course!" he says.
I sigh and pat his cheek.
"Get up."
pouting, he sits up. I stand up and stretch.
"Now lay down." I say.
He does, and I lay on top of him.
"Will you just tell us what it is?" Mom sighs, irritated.
"I know what it is." Dad says, scrolling through Facebook.
"You do?" Mama R asks.
"Yes." he says. "So do you. So does Ben and Katie, and her family."Katie frowns.
"And I don't?" Mom asks.
Nobody says anything.
Except Katie.
"Well you were never there." she mutters.I look at Mom.
She looks pissed all the sudden.
Mom stands up quickly.
Tears are sliding down her cheeks.
"You know what?" she snaps. "I'm done! I'm so done! I know I fucked up! I know I left and I shouldn't have. And you know what Megan? You're right! I do need to be thanking Robin for helping raise you children! But I'm here now, and I'm trying, okay? None of you are giving me a chance! You treat me horribly! So I'm just going to leave! Nobody come after me!" she storms out of the house and slams the door.
