Chicago, Illinois 10/18/2018

As midnight's moonlight flashed through her window, an eighteen year old Harmony stood in front of her vanity, combing her body wave bundles and allowing the hair to flow down her back. With an artist's touch, she applied warm eyeshadow to her eyelids and a rosy blush brought a flush to her cheeks. She swiped on a deep berry lip color before she glanced at the pile of cozy clothes laid out nearby on her bed.

"8:31pm." She murmured under her breath to herself after reading the time on the clock, putting on an oversized burgundy knitted sweater and a pair of black leggings.

"Hey, Moni! You're still going out to meet Jordan tonight?!" Kris shouted from the master bedroom, and Harmony sighed.

"Yes!" Harmony replied as she quickly slipped her feet into the brown Ugg boots before spraying on perfume, then she walked to Kris' bedroom.

"You're having company tonight?" She curiously asked, flicking her hair over her shoulder while she finger combed her hair.

"Yes, I am." Kris smirked, untying the robe to reveal her seductive lingerie.

Although Harmony didn't like multiple men knowing where her and Kris laid their heads at, she didn't judge her cousin. She was living in Kris' house since her parents' deaths after all.

"Well, have fun. I'm going to meet up with Jordan. On the block and all." Harmony winked, rushing to her bedroom.

She gathered her belongings- her purse, phone, and keys, then she tightened the straps of her purse on her shoulder and stepped out of the bedroom, leaving the house.

As Harmony walked along the empty sidewalk, the autumn wind blew her hair with the breeze, and it cascaded like golden waves around her face. She gripped her shoulder strap firmly, the leather cool against her palm as her eyes darted to the energy around her-a group of guys laughing in a parking lot and leaves swirling in the wind against the ground. With each step, she absorbed her surroundings, framing her quiet yet resolute presence amidst the chaos.

When she turned the corner, her breath escaped in soft, white puffs, displayed in the air before vanishing into the atmosphere. Her cheeks, slightly flushed from the cold, glowed as she spotted her boyfriend waiting on the sidewalk, a warm smile blooming across her face.

"Hey, baby." She excitedly squealed with a smile lighting up her face, her eyes sparkling with happiness as she gazed at Jordan.

"Wassup, Folks." Jordan returned the smile, wrapping his arms around her waist when she leaned in, draping her arms around his neck.

Their lips met softly at first, igniting a sweet kiss that deepened as she held the back of his neck, enjoying the affection.

Pulling away from the kiss, "I missed you. How long will you be?" She asked as she leaned against the brick wall, nervously looking around at their surroundings.

Harmony hated Jordan's street life style, but she loved him and she didn't judge him for being a drug dealer.

Or even the fact that he was from 63rd. The most hated block in Chicago.

She never thought she'd have lots of first time experiences with someone like him because she always thought she'd have that with someone from the same background as her, but after her parents died from a car accident, things changed in her life.

"Ion know, Moni. I gotta make this money, gurl. How else you think I pay fa yo hair and shit?" He replied, sighing at her obvious frustration.
