Harmony Briseis Osabutey Four Days Later | 04/21/21
"And he just walked away?" Remedy questioned, reclining on the couch across from Harmony and Kris.
"Yes. It's just all so confusing. I don't know what happened, I don't know who lied on me, or anything." Harmony defeatedly shrugged, a sigh sounding from her lips.
"Has he responded to your messages?" Kris inquired with a discreet nervous expression on her face.
"No. I blocked him because I don't have time for the mood swings and mental whiplash. Nice plan, wrong girl." Harmony replied with confidence, her shoulders shrugging in instinct.
"But enough of Von. Let's talk about this birthday." Kris quickly switched the subject, which caused Remedy and Harmony to furrow their eyebrows at her urgency.
"Um, what about it?" Harmony nonchalantly questioned, finishing the glass of white wine and sitting it on the coffee table.
"Today is yo birthday and you don't have no plans fa it. What's up wit' that?" Remedy chimed in as she unlocked her phone, navigating to the message thread with Benz.
"I hate the attention that comes with it. All the singing happy birthday, everybody looking in your face and shit. I hate that." Harmony laughed, standing from the couch to sit the empty wine glasses in the sink.
Remedy and Kris followed her to the kitchen, glancing at one another. "Put on some shoes and let's go. We already planned something, so you can't rain check." Remedy stated.
"Only if y'all promise to get me drunker than twenty Mexicans off Casamigos." Harmony negotiated, scrolling into the bedroom to grab her belongings.
"Deal."
ONE HOUR LATER, Harmony, Remedy, and Kris walked through the mall, their arms filled with shopping bags. As they approached the exit of the mall, they paused to admire a window display until a familiar voice to Harmony called out her name.
"Moni?" Desmond called out, causing her head to dart in his direction.
"Skilla? Oh, hey." Harmony's eyebrows furrowed, unsure of how she should approach him since it's been weeks that last time they talked.
"How you been?" He inquired, nodding at Remedy and Kris before refocusing his attention to Harmony, who softly cleared her throat.
"I've been okay. I mean, you could've just responded to my text to know that." She sarcastically replied, a light chuckle escaping her lips.
"You right."
"But I've been okay. You?" She sighed, and her lips slightly curled into a subtle smile.
"I been busy wit' my music and tour. I ain't even been down here 'till a few days ago to visit my sister." He briefed, his eyes never leaving hers as she stared at him.
