Harmony Briseis Osabutey One Week Later | 03/12/21
Harmony carefully climbed onto her bed, then she leaned down and planted a soft kiss on Jaquan's cheek. Slowly, his eyes fluttered open and a smile graced on his face. Without hesitation, he wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her closer in a tender embrace.
"Good morning, Ja." She smiled, now placing a kiss on his lips when he sat up.
"Thank you fa lettin' me crash over here after my game last night. I was too tired to drive all the way home." He thanked as he gentle moved her to the side before he climbed out of the bed.
"It's no problem. Just don't let it become a habit too soon." She chuckled, staring at him after he smiled at her moments before entering the bathroom.
Since Harmony and Jaquan's sexual encounter after their first date, an unexpected bond had formed between them. They found joy in the little things- homemade meals together, movie nights, and simply spending nights at each other's houses all while discovering new things about one another.
"You have two hours and thirty minutes before your first class. I made breakfast so hurry up with your shower." She alerted as she thoroughly made the bed in a neat manner.
Once she finished making the bed, she exited the bedroom, walking to the kitchen to fix their breakfast plates, which consisted of waffles with chocolate chips on top, scrambled eggs, bacon, and hash browns.
FIFTEEN MINUTES LATER, Jaquan stepped out of the bedroom, a smile coming on his face at the sight of Harmony seated on the couch. In front of her, their plates rested on the coffee table, and he couldn't help but feel a wave of gratitude wash over him for the simple gesture.
"Are you just gonna stand there and stare at me, or are you gonna come sit down to eat before you have to leave?" She softly chuckled, scooting over to create space for him next to her.
"You cookin' fa me now?" He smiled as he walked over to her, grabbing his plate after sitting down next to her on the couch.
"Don't get comfortable with it cause I'll stop with the quickness." She laughed, thumping the side of his head.
"Stop? You trippin'." He replied with a subtle smile, eating the breakfast from the plate in his hand.
Harmony and Jaquan ate their food, watching the television series Empire. "It's kinda crazy that Lucious was worried about the wrong son being a sugarfoot." She randomly stated, her intrusive thoughts on display.
Laughing, "Girl, you funny. But what time you gotta go to work and what time you get off tonight?" He asked, eating the final piece of bacon on the plate.
"I have to come in early today at eight, and I get off at the usual time on weekends. 3:30am. Plus I have to headline tonight." She sighed, already stressed and tired from the long shift ahead of her.
