"Alina!"
Slowly lifting my head up from the desk, I'm greeted with the sight of my teacher with his hands in his hips looking at me with disbelief.
"You seriously couldn't wait until the second day to fall asleep?"
I feel my cheeks go red from embarrassment as I stayed silent.
"Anyways, as I was saying. Turn to the person next to you. That is who you will be working with on this project"
Still processing what he was saying, I turned my head to the person near me. He was good looking.
"I'm gonna pass out the papers, start talking"
The classroom erupted in chatter. Everyone started talking. Except for me and the guy next to me. U stayed looking at the wall in front of me.
I don't have a problem talking to guys, but when it's a guy I think is cute I get shy.
"So what should we do for the first question"
I turn away from the wall and look at him
"Well we could do-"
"Yo Kieran I haven't seen you in forever!"
The guy who shouted that walked over to my partner and dapped him up
*I guess his name is Kieran*
Turning back to the paper the teacher handed out I started answering most of the questions.
"I'll talk to you later Kieran!"
"Yeah man see you later."
Kieran turns back to me
"So I didn't finish all of it but we could do whatever you did"
"Yeah I did the topic of inflation"
"That works"
I start working on the questions again while Kieran turns to the guy behind me and starts talking to him.
"Class listen up! I changed my mind you can partner up with anyone you want!"
My partner quickly up and went to his other friend
*That was rude*
Swiftly getting up from my seat I go over to the back to work with my friend.
I Kneel next to her desk with my knees on the ground and my arms on her desk.
"Hey riri"
"Hi Lili"
"What have you worked on"
"I'm almost finished, my partner left me"
"Girl same"
"Who was your partner?"
"The Kieran dude"
"Ohhh mine was her"
She points to a girl working with a guy who kind of acts autistic.
"Damnn she left you"
"Yeah I'm kinda hurt but it's ok... it's fine"
I giggle a bit
"Ok so let's just finish this"
Continuing to work on our work we hear the teacher announce that "Theirs is food at the back of the classroom! Knock yourself out!"
Because me and RiRi were sitting at the back of the classroom I ask her if we should move because of how big the line was getting.
"No they are in our way, it's fine lili"
"Okay then"
I tuck my knees in more towards the desk to avoid my feet getting in the middle of the walking area.
"Ok so for question 5 I was stuck on that one because I was looking up ways to stop inflation but all I kept getting was random bikini sites and-"
All of a sudden I feel someone trip over my feet.
It was my old partner
The guy who sits next to me
And he had a drink in his hand
The classroom erupted into laughter, thankfully because most of them knew Kieran
"I'm so so sorry are you alright"
I start profusely apologizing, I don't think anyone heard me though.
"Girl don't apologize, he tripped over your feet you didn't trip him."
"Ikk but I still feel bad. What if he thinks I did it on purpose?"
"He won't and if he does it doesn't matter, he's really annoying and so are his friends."
"Ig your right, I feel more bad about how he had a drink in his hand though- at least none of it spilled"
"Girl stop worrying about it and start worrying about this project, it's due by the end of class and we only got 20'minutes left"
"Yeah your right"
Turning back to the paper we start talking about the project again.

-After school-
I hate walking home after school.
I'm exhausted by the end and on top of all of that I walk a way where most people from my school walk so I see a bunch of people I know and it gets awkward because I'm trying to avoid them. So instead of taking my usual way today, I'm taking a different route. I'm going through the creek.
Walking through the creek with my headphones on, I couldn't help but notice how gorgeous it is.
Pulling out my phone, I change the song to Persian rugs by PARTYNEXTDOOR.
I put my phone in my back pocket where the pepper spray is and I continue to walk.
All of a sudden I feel my body being pushed back into someone and a towel being wrapped around my mouth and nose while a big beefy arm swiftly wraps around my neck.
My screams were miffed because of the cloth and in a feeble attempt to release his arm from my neck i start slapping and punching his arm.
I feel myself slowly lose consciousness until I feel myself being pushed forward away from the beefy arms grip and the towel falling off my mouth.
Landing on the ground I cough for a bit and I quickly look up to see what happend.
All I see is a blurry figure getting beat up by the man who attacked me. Quickly reaching into my back pocket I grab the pepper spray, turn it off of safety mode and quickly spray it on the attacker. I reach to the blurry figure and picked it up and started running. Or tried to run. I was still in Schock and my legs gave out after a few seconds. The blurry figure carried me wedding style and started running. Instinctively I wrap my arms around the figures neck. A minute or two later my vision starts coming back, looking up at the blurry figure I notice it is a boy.
"Are you alright?" I weakly ask the boy
"Yeah I'm fine, I should be asking you that"
I weakly chuckle and stay silent for a few minutes.
Slowly tapping his shoulder he slows down and I get down from his arms.
"What's your name?" He asks
"Alina, yours?"
"Asher"
"I got it from here Asher, thank you for helping me."
"Your dumb as fuck if you think I'm gonna let you go home alone after you were attacked"
"I promise I'll be fine I was just caught off guard, you have places to be I'm sure"
"I do but I have to make sure you get home safely first"
Continuing to argue about this for a while w hear footsteps and quickly turn to look in that direction.
"I'll take her"
It was Kieran from one of my classes.
I feel a hand wrap around my arm and pull me closer
"Nah it's ok I got her"
I turn to look at the hand, I couldn't help but notice that it was a very nice hand. Not noticing what was happening, I continue to stare at his hand. All of a sudden I feel a arm wrap around my waist and pull me closer to their body
"Clearly you don't"

Make this more enjoyable/ better to read let m know. I was thinking of switching it up to 3rd person narrative pov or maybe a mix of both povs of the girls and boys along with an unreliable narrator? Let me know
