After consort Uzumaki was bedridden because of a high fever for two days, his presence was requested by the king at the royal pavilion. When he arrived there, the king was with his lover and he felt his heart clench in his chest. Though the sight of them together had been something he had seen all these months, partly it being his suggestion, he admits he could barely hold up with it any longer.

"Your Majesty, consort Haruno." Consort Uzumaki greeted the two occupying the pavilion before him. He got a friendly smile from the future queen which he returned before looking at His Majesty who sipped his tea without exchanging glances with him.

'... I guess he is still upset about what I said two nights ago.'

"Then I will leave first, Your Majesty." Consort Haruno excused herself as she knew about what the king would talk with consort Uzumaki. And her presence wasn't needed anymore since consort Uzumaki already saw her with the king.

"Mm." King Sasuke acknowledged.

"I didn't have the chance to visit you but I am glad you have recovered, consort Uzumaki." Consort Haruno said as she passed by the consort of the king who should be more than that soon.

"Thank you, consort Haruno. Please take care of yourself too." Consort Uzumaki said because the season that is about to change makes the weather variable which makes people fall sick. The future queen only nodded at him before leaving him with His Majesty.

King Sasuke watched as his consort refilled his empty cup. He doesn't have the chance to ask the other if he did want to leave his side even though he had intended to but his consort falls ill. Now, he had already decided he would be the one to determine their destiny.

'I can't let you go anymore, my queen.' King Sasuke adjusted his expression when his consort looked up at him. Even if the other might have a change of heart, he won't include that in his decision. That love should always be his!

"How is your shoulder?"

"I am fine now, Your Majesty." Consort Uzumaki said as he felt a lot better than the first night where the pain tormented him. That is all done, what he is interested in now is why His Majesty summoned him and being all serious.

"Is something bothering you, Your Majesty?"

"... We have captured the assassin that your grandfather sent to kill me." King Sasuke said and saw how his consort's hand pouring tea for himself halted in mid-air.

"... May I ask what you are going to do with him, Your Majesty?" Consort Uzumaki questioned while his heart nervously beat in his ribcage. If the other had been only a person who shared his grandfather's plan, he would have been worried still but...

'Why did you take on this task, Sai?'

"..." That question revealed to him that his consort must have been close to the assassin. Though it made him jealous, he didn't reveal it to the one in front of him who revealed concern.

"I sent him back to rely to your grandfather that if he sees the queen of Leaf as his grandson, he should stay out of trouble for the queen's sake."

"... Queen of Leaf?" Consort Uzumaki repeated as though he needed confirmation as to whether he heard it right. Did the king of Leaf imply that he is the queen? He?

"Yes." King Sasuke confirmed for the one who told him his task here was done and he should leave. However, he is unwilling to let the other go since the love that was given to him has taken his love in return. He told the consort of his a lie to prevent the other from learning his true heart as he didn't want him to know yet. Though he is certain where the other's heart lies, he can see that the other is still influenced by the one he deems important. That is why, he was afraid to let the other know his feeling and ended up losing everything which is his along with himself.
