What day is today? It's Monday! 😁 We are almost halfway through the story.

As the edict of the two being newly taken as the crown prince's consorts spread to the citizens through the information board in front of the palace port, it was also the same day the information about one of the consorts being the grandson of leader Jiraiya of Whirlpool spread to the court officials and generals. Though some wanted to refuse the grandson of their biggest enemy, they were relieved to learn from the king that the other was a mere hostage to prevent the war that was intended by Jiraiya. Furthermore, they were happy to know that the crown prince went to spend the night with consort Haruno and left the grandson of their enemy all alone. That just showed how the other's life was going to be in this very palace.

"The bed is ready, consort Uzumaki." The one who was personally chosen by the crown prince himself to be the eunuch of the consort from another land stated as he watched the lonely frame looking out to the grandness to celebrate the occasion. He assumed the other must be feeling saddened by not having the one to protect him from all those bad mouths that having fun talking gibberish.

"... Thank you, eunuch Yato." Consort Naruto turned around with a smile at the eunuch who he knew from talking that he was older than the other. He saw the questioning look on the younger one and he guessed it was a question about the relationship between him and His Highness. However, that was something the fewer knows the better, and Yato isn't someone who should know about anything.

"I am fine. You can leave for the day."

"Then, I will see you tomorrow, consort Uzumaki." Eunuch Yato stepped back and left the chamber after he was assured by the consort that he was fine. He guessed that the relationship between his consort and His Highness is as everyone is gossiping. And he doesn't need to add pressure to the heart that is grieving.

                     When the residence of consort Uzumaki fell to darkness, the bed chamber of consort Haruno was still dimly lit. Inside was the crown prince who was sitting by the closed window reading a scroll while the consort everyone in the back palace was jealous of sat on the bed.

"... Everyone is making fun of consort Uzumaki." Consort Haruno started when the one who should be troubled by the occurrence didn't seem to mind. She wondered if it was all a facade as she was sure His Highness cared about the one everyone is shitting about.

"He might be feeling sad all alone."

"Consort Haruno," Crown Prince Sasuke called to stop the other from babbling before putting down the scroll he was trying to focus on and looking at her.

"Am I not needed here?"

"!!! I... I apologize to you, Your Highness." Consort Haruno urged when the one who could enter and exit any chamber in this whole palace asked her a question like that. Though it sounded like he was upset that she didn't want him here, she knew the meaning behind that question which wasn't as it sounded.

'How would I dare to chase you out of here when you being here has a purpose, Your Majesty? Even if you didn't, I wouldn't dare.'

"... He knows this was to happen, you don't need to worry about him." Crown Prince Sasuke said before picking up the scroll that was momentarily left by him. Before continuing with what he was reading, he cleared his throat, and the window was opened before his closest bodyguard stepped in.

"Your Highness," Bodyguard Lee kneeled before the one who summoned him in. He glanced at the one in the bed before lowering his gaze when he felt the crown prince's eyes on him.

"Do you need anything?"

"Has he gone to bed?" Crown Prince Sasuke questioned about the one who consort Haruno claimed to be sad.
