It's been a week since Isis received the notes and pictures. The first two days after she got them she stayed with the ATEEZ boys at their base. I wasn't aware that they were so close to begin with... Regardless, Yeonjun and the rest of TXT came back after that and Isis went back home. When I talked to her on the phone she explained that she didn't really feel comfortable being at home and didn't want to put her father's safety at risk. Especially considering the fact that the person, whoever they are, have a way to get in and out of the house undetected.
"I feel like I'm constantly being watched." She explained yesterday. I could feel her anxiousness through the phone. "And I haven't really left my room, or my bed for that matter. I just feel like if I keep my back against the wall, I only have to watch what's happening in front of me." I nodded understandingly.
"Do you think you'll feel safer going out?" I proposed.
"Jake did you hear a single thing I just said?" She sassed. I smiled chuckling a little knowing that she still had her feisty side.
"I know, I'm just proposing some options other than rotting away in your room."
"Maybe you're right. Getting out the house might help me clear my head. Plus," She lowered her voice. "I don't like the idea of my dad potentially being in danger. Someone is watching me and if my dad gets hurt as a result I'll never forgive myself."
"Great! Be ready tomorrow at 9. I'm coming to get you."
"Jake—"
"Nope, no objections, you just said it might make you free your mind, so we're doing it. I'll be there at 9 and make sure to wear something cute." She laughed at my persistence.
"Okay fine. And by 'cute' you mean?"
"Hot."
"Yeah, I kinda figured. Are we going to a club because I don't think I'll really be up for the crowd."
"No club. Just wear something hot but casual, okay?"
"Okay. See you then." She responded still sounding somewhat unsure of herself before hanging up.
Now here I am pulling up to her house to pick her up. It's 8:45 but I figured I'd rather be early than late. I rung the doorbell when a sudden thought occured to me:
What if Yeonjun answers the door?
I doubt he'd want me (or any of the other Enhypen members for that matter) hanging around Isis due to recent events. My slight panic was calmed, then ignited just as fast when Yeonjun didn't answer the door,
Isis' father did.
"Oh you're one of Yeonjun's friends, right? Justin? No, give me a second it's right on the tip of my tongue." He struggled to remember my name.
"It's Jake sir."
"Jake that's right. Well come on in!" He invited me through the front door. "Yeonjun's in his room so you can head on up." I took a deep breath before responding.
"Actually sir I'm here for Isis."
"Isis?!" He said sounding kind of shocked. He quickly sized me up. "Is this like a date kind of thing?"
"A date?" I tried to think of an excuse.
"No dad." Isis suddenly appeared descending down the steps. She wore a white tube top and a black leather miniskirt, paired with a cropped leather jacket, small black purse, some panda dunks and silver necklaces. Her makeup consisted of silver eyeshadow, an expert-level cateye with a star drawn in the outer-corner of her eyes, and her lips lined with brown and glossed.
