A/N: ask, and thou shall receive.

WASHINGTON D.C.

The chairman of the Senate armed services committee was particularly unpleasant man named Stern. He was currently glaring at Tony, who was being told off by Pepper sitting in the row behind them. "Mr. Stark, could we pick up now where we left off? Mr. Stark. Please." Senator Stern calls out.

Tony turns around from where he was patiently listening to Pepper. "Yes dear?" He quips into the microphone.

Senator Stern frowns at him. "Can I have your attention?"

Tony nods. "Absolutely." He immediately turns to his side where Kindle is sitting. She is working on another element combination while waiting. "Have I mentioned how beautiful you look today."

Kindle smiles but doesn't look up from her work. Pepper had brought her the black suit and white silk blouse she was currently wearing as well as the black pinstripe Tony was sporting. He looked ridiculously sexy in it and knew it.

"Do you or do you not possess a specialized weapon?" Stern asks and Tony frowns.

"I do not." Tony responds.

Stern raises his bushy eyebrows and his beady little eyes narrow. "You do not?"

Tony shakes his head. "I do not." He pauses and thinks. "Well, it depends on how you define the word weapon."

"The Iron Man weapon." Stern specifies.

"My device does not fit that description." Tony objects.

Stern sighs in exasperation. "Well... How would you describe it?"

Tony smirks. "I would describe it by defining it as what it is, Senator."

"As?"

Tony considers. "Hmm. It's a high-tech prosthesis." Much of the room busts out laughing and Tony looks around with a nod. "That is... That is... That's actually the most apt description I can make of it."

Stern insists. "It's a weapon. It's a weapon, Mr. Stark."

Tony scoffs. "Please, if your priority was actually the well-being of the American citizen..."

Stern interrupts him. "My priority is to get the Iron Man weapon turned over to the people of the United States of America."

Tony expression turns mulish and arrogant... well more arrogant than normal. "Well, you can forget it. I am Iron Man. The suit and I are one. To turn over the Iron Man suit would be to turn over myself which is tantamount to indentured servitude or prostitution, depending or what state you're in." There is another laugh from the crowd as Tony does what he does best and charms them. He leans forward and speakers directly into the mic. "You can't have it."
