SoVR: Quantum Dynamics.... Give me some time. I'll look into it.
Laura then suddenly suggests going to the shopping mall nearby.
Yap: ..Huh? What for and why?
Laura: To buy swimwear, of course.
Yap had a blank look on his face.
Yap: Well, you go on ahead by yourself then.
Laura: (Shocked) W-wha?
Yap: Well, I do apologize, Laura. We're partners now, yes. But I'm not really one for adventures and such. Sure, some of us might be heading to the beach, or what not.
Laura: Don't be such a killjoy now, love. At the very least, just be there, would you?
Yap: .. (Raises an eyebrow) Be at where?
Laura: Wherever we might be going.
Yap: ..... (Sighs) No promises, but will try to.
Laura then gets up from her seat, heading to change her clothes.
Yap: .... [I do not want to do this.. but do I have a choice?]
SoVR: Sadly, no.
The class representative relents, groaning internally loud as possible to send the message to SoVR, who would understand it anyway.
Still, change his clothes he did in the end, hanging out with Laura. Outwardly, it might seem he is the usual, calm and composed manner, but internally, he much wishes to rather train or continue digging for information related to Quantum Dynamics.
SoVR: Relax, Yap. Any information regarding Quantum Dynamics won't come that quick. Even Tabane took years, and it's only possible she only scratched the surface regarding them.
As Yap reluctantly joins Laura for the shopping trip, the bustling atmosphere of the nearby mall surrounds them. Laura, seemingly excited about the prospect of choosing swimwear, drags Yap from store to store.
Laura: (Pointing at a display) What about this one, Yap?
Yap: (Indifferent) It's fine.
Laura: (Frowning) Yap, you could show a bit more enthusiasm. We're not always on a mission, you know.
Yap: (Muttering) Thankfully.
Laura catches his mutter and shoots him a playful glare.
Laura: I heard that.
As they continue through the mall, Yap finds himself increasingly out of his element. The vibrant colors, the multitude of choices, and the sheer number of people enjoying their day out—it's all a bit overwhelming for someone who usually prefers solitude or focused training.
Laura: (Excitedly) How about this one, Yap? It's stylish and perfect for the beach.
Yap: (Looking at the swimwear) Yeah, sure. Whatever.
Laura: (Sighs) You're impossible.
Yap: (Smirking) You knew that when you teamed up with me.
After what feels like an eternity of browsing, Yap and Laura finally settle on some swimwear. Laura, satisfied with her choices, drags Yap towards the exit.
Laura: Now that wasn't so bad, was it?
Yap: (Dryly) Thrilling.
As they exit the mall, Yap's thoughts return to the mysteries surrounding Quantum Dynamics.
