3rd POV
Yap: Sleep well, Laura. Tomorrow's a new day.
Laura: (Nods) I'll see you in class.
With that, Laura departs, leaving Yap with his thoughts as he prepares for another eventful day at the IS Academy.
The next day in class, despite being reassured by Laura she would do the introduction of herself in his way, internally, Yap was getting quite restless.
Yap: [She'll actually listen, right..?]
SoVR: Only 1 way to find out.
Yap: [I may not be her superior, but even still, I must admit it worries me and makes me uneasy.]
SoVR: Is it because she is your friend?
Yap: [No, but rather.. her personality. Anyway, best option I can only turn to now is pray and hope everything goes well without any drama whatsoever.]
The classroom was buzzing with students engaged in conversations and activities as they waited for the teacher to arrive. Yap glanced around the room, keeping an eye out for Laura, who had yet to make her entrance.
SoVR: Relax, Yap. She'll be fine.
Yap: [I hope so.]
Just as the teachers entered the room, the students settled down, and Yap's attention shifted to the door. Laura walked in, carrying an air of confidence that surprised Yap. She gave a subtle nod to him, and he nodded back, offering an encouraging smile.
Yamada: Okay, class. I've yet another exciting announcement to make today. I'm about to introduce another new addition to our expanding classroom!
The holographic screen lights up on the board, displaying the name "Laura Bodewig".
Yamada: Meet our new transfer student from Germany! Laura Bodewig!
The students all were shocked, again. Not one, not two, but 4 students from other nations are now in their class.
As they spoke amongst themselves, Yap slowly folded his arms across his chest before clearing his throat.
Yap: Ahem. Keep your little talks for later, Class 1-1. I believe our.. new addition has yet to introduce herself.
Yamada: Yap's right. Settle down, everyone.
The class gradually quieted down, and all eyes turned to Laura as she prepared to introduce herself. Despite the initial surprise, the students seemed curious about the new addition to their class.
Laura: I am Laura Bodewig, and I hail from Germany. I have been assigned to pilot an IS here. As for hobbies... (Pauses briefly) I am here to focus on my training, but I also enjoy reading and physical exercise.
Yap observed the class's reaction, and this time, the surprise had shifted to curiosity. Laura's straightforward and composed introduction seemed to resonate well with the students.
Laura's eyes then seem to track where Ichika is sitting at.
Laura: And you must be..
She walks over to him, causing Yap's eyes to narrow.
Yap: [What is she trying to do here...?]
Before Laura slaps Ichika across the face.
Ichika: Ugh?!
Yap: Laura!
Laura: I do not approve. In fact, I will never approve that you're her brother!
Yap: Laura Bodewig! That's enough coming from you!
