3rd POV

Yalter: Suit yourself, Yap. But keep in mind, the more they struggle, the more entertaining it gets.

As Yap entered his dorm, he closed the door, shutting out the presence of Yalter even though knowing it won't work.

Yap: (Slightly grumbles) Whatever it takes for that idiot to shut up..

The next day in class, Yap overhears rumors of whoever wins the upcoming interclass tournament, gets to take one of the boys out for a date. Again, since this is the IS Academy and the only males are Yap and Ichika, naturally it was a very.. fierce situation.

Yap: (Mentally facepalms) [And here I'm starting to think my efforts were all in vain to prevent this rumor from spreading.]

SoVR: Either they managed to get it out from Houki or Ichika.

Yap: [No way. The former would be too stubborn to reveal anything, and the latter, I'm not mocking him or anything, but he wouldn't even pick up the biggest hint dropped right in front of him.]

Ichika then enters, greeting everyone.

Yap: (Looks at Ichika) Oh. Morning.

Ichika: What's with that response?

Yap: What response? I greeted you back.

Ichika: Well.. Fair.

The day continued with classes and routine activities at the IS Academy. Yap tried to maintain a sense of normalcy despite the rumors swirling around the upcoming interclass tournament.

During break time, Yap approached Houki.

Yap: It seems someone caught on.

Houki: Huh? What do you mean?

Yap: (Sighs) The very thing I'm preventing from slipping out. You didn't tell anyone, did you?

Houki: No, I definitely wouldn't. It's my request for him, after all.

Yap: Well, someone seems to have picked up on it, and now there's a rumor about the winner of the interclass tournament getting a date with one of the boys. You can probably guess who the boys are.

Houki: (Frowns) This is getting out of hand.

Yap: Yeah. I'll see what I can do to address it and tone down the expectations. We don't need unnecessary distractions.

Houki: Thank you, Yap. I appreciate your efforts.

Yap: Don't mention it. Sooner or later, I'd have to step in and do something to. Might as well do it soon.

He then goes on and address the students just before practical classes, making it clear that the interclass tournament was a training exercise and not an opportunity for personal matters.

Yap: I may not know who the hell started spreading the rumor, but one thing I've to make clear for everyone. Treat this as a tournament to see how much you've improved in your IS training and practical classes. NOT whatever rewards at the end. Understood, Class 1-1?

Class: U-understood!

Yap: Good. Now back to your ISes!

While Class 1-1 and Class 1-2 went on about their practical training with the training ISes provided, Yap noticed Lingyin and Cecilia wandering off on their own, most likely practicing their own training or have a spar with each other.

After summoning their ISes, just before they landed a hit on each other, someone interrupted their duel.

Rin: What's your issue?! You shoot at China's rep, you'll get back a world of hurt!
