If only money did grow on trees
I could drag myself off the floor
Off my knees
All I need is a slice of luck
A small windfall so I'm out of the muck
Can't answer the door, won't answer the phone
Need to answer in case it's the loan
But what are the chances of that happening hey?
We seem to get screwed every day
So impatient for their money
But what about my struggles, my hurry?
Quickly need a loan, quickly need a home
No-one's on our side, we're all alone
