Chapter 4

"Only time will tell"

Enzo:

"Aria don't you die on me"! "Stay with me come on"! "Fuck, put your foot down"! "Caleb get in the back now"! I shout as more and blood releases from her body onto me. "Shit what do you want me to do"? Caleb asks climbing over to the back looking at her lifeless body in the seat.

"Hold onto her wounds here, hold tight don't fucking let go I can hold them all", i reply. "There's too much it's seeping through the cloth", he replies now with his hands covered in her blood. "Just fucking hold down Lexi how far left we are losing her"! I shout to the front. "3 minutes tops"! She shouts back.

"She's gone cold Enzo", Caleb says places the back of his hand on her cheek. "Fuck"! I shout witnessing her skin become pale. "We are here"! Lexi shouts as the car comes to a halt. I pick aria up trying to keep ahold of her wounds as Caleb keeps ahold of the opposite side. Both santi and Lexi rush ahead trying to find some staff as we enter.

As soon as the staff see us they drop everything they're doing and rush over with a bed for her to lay on. "She's lost too much blood please she needs to be seen now she's going cold"! Caleb shouts as she's pushed away into the back. We are all stopped at the doors as we can't enter before more staff head over to take a look at us all.

"We'll need to take a good look and run some tests on you all to make sure you are all okay. "Sir would you like to follow me this way"? One of the doctors says as the rest all walk away with their own doctor.

"Let's take a look at this leg then", they say cutting back the fabric around my leg getting a closer look at the wound. "So the bullet is still in there hence why you've probably not lost as much blood as it's blocking the way", they say. "We are going to have to set you up for surgery and a scan to make sure there isn't blood trapped inside clogging up in your leg as we speak".

"No I can't I have to wait until arias okay", i reply. "The girl you were carrying I'm guessing"? They say. "Yes she's going to be okay won't she please tell me she'll survive I can't lose her", i say. "Unfortunately only time will tell she will be in there for quite a while, if we go ahead and get you in and out for your surgery she will still be in there so if you do want to get straight back to her once she's out I'd recommend having the procedure now to give time for the anaesthetic to wear off", they reply.

Lexi:

"Before we start is there anything like a wound or any area your most concerned so we can sort that first before we run any tests", the nurse says. "I was stabbed in the leg and I have minor cuts from glass on my hand and the side of my back", i reply. "Let's take a look at the stab wound first", she says lifting my leg.

"Okay so luckily it hasn't gone too deep through the tissue and just missed the bone but it will need some stitches", she says. "What I'll do is get this cleaned up and all stitched for you then move on to your hand and side if that's okay with you", she adds. "Yes that's fine I don't need anaesthetic for it so you can just stitch it straight away", i reply. "Brave, I like it", she says smiling.

Santi:

"Right Santiago correct me if I'm wrong", the doctor says. "It's just santi", i reply. "No worries santi let's have you take a seat so I can run some tests and get you cleaned up", he says. "Is there anywhere concerning you or hurting the most so we can prioritise that"? He asks. "I think it's just mostly scratches and a few minor cuts nothing major", i reply.

"No problem I'm just going to clean these cuts and you have a slighter bigger one on your back which I would like to dress with what is practically like a big plaster if that's okay with you", he asks. "Go for it", i reply.

Caleb:

"Right let's take a look at you shall we", they say lifting my shirt cleaning the cuts and scratches. "Do you know if she's going to be okay"? I ask as the nurse grabs some fresh wipes. "The girl who was rushed away from you all"? They ask. "Yes she's just really close to me and well us all so I just want to make sure she'll be alright." "she will be okay won't she"? I ask

"Only time will tell unfortunately she was in critical condition from the amount of blood loss her body had gone into shock hence why she was getting paler and becoming cold on the outside", they say. "She is in the best of hands here trust me we will do anything we can to make sure she's better again but we just cannot promise anything at this moment of time just because of the extent of her injury", they add.

"Your all done, we have set up a room for all 4 of you so you can be together I think 2 are already in there waiting as another had to go into surgery", they say. "Wait who had to go into surgery"? I say standing up from the bed. "The male who was carrying the girl, he had been shot in the leg and the bullet was still wedged inside so we had to take him for surgery to get it out but don't worry he'll be with you guys soon", they say.

Santi:

"You're smart for thinking of this place you know I'd give you that", i say to Lexi on the bed next to me. "I was just trying to think ahead, if we did end up at the public hospital god knows what would have happened", i reply. "Why didn't you tell us you had been stabbed"? I ask. "Because we had found aria, I didn't want to distract any of you as she is in much worse condition, but it's okay I'm fine I just really hope she pulls through", I reply.

"Yeah she doesn't deserve any of this, she's just been placed in the middle of it all it was meant to be a nice night for the both of them and ended like this", i say as Caleb walks through the door. "They've taken Enzo into surgery he was shot", Caleb says walking through to a bed opposite mine. "Wait what is he okay what did they say"? Lexi says.

"He's going to be okay he was shot in the leg and the bullet was wedged between the bone so they had to take him to surgery to remove it but he should be here soon", he says. "What's up with the bandage"? He asks Lexi looking at her leg. "Oh I was stabbed so they had to stitch it but I didn't tell you guys because we had already found aria and she was our main priority", she says.

"You still should've told us lex, santi Could've drove here. "I know I just didn't want any distracted from aria, I just feel so bad she didn't deserve any of this I don't know what I'll do if she doesn't make it", she says. "Don't say that", i reply. "Think positive for both hers and Enzo's sake, think of how he was feeling in that car he was heartbroken watching her become weaker and weaker", i reply.

"I just hope she pulls through".
