Chapter 13

That's my girl

Enzo:

"What", i reply to my father. "I have gio and his men", he replies. "Don't worry he's safe in lockdown somewhere no one will find him with the highest security I could put him with he's going nowhere", he says.

"He's staying there until your ready to deal with him", he says. "Take me there now", i reply. "Hold on, get yourself and aria sorted first make sure she's home and safe before you go out on a killing spree", he says.

"I know you want revenge more than anything for what he's done, but your main priority right now isn't killing him, he's going nowhere your priority is arias safety and making sure she recovers", he says. "You will wait until everything has settled with you both before going for him, I know what your like all this anger built up you'll just storm in there going on a killing spree", he says.

"You need to step back and get this sorted with aria before going guns blazing into the room he's in", he adds. "Him and his men are all separated so he won't be coming up with anyways to escape don't you worry", he says.

The next couple of days soon went by. Nurse after nurse, check in after check in, gave aria the all clear to be able to return home. She became stronger by the day and started sitting up herself and walking around the room in short episodes before taking a rest.

It was the morning she was able to leave and come back home. A nurse came by with a wheel chair for her to sit in but she denied. Of course she fucking said no. She wanted to do it herself without anyone's help. We had a car waiting outside as I finished packing her bags as Lexi finishes platting her hair for her on the bed.

"We ready"? I ask as she nods slowly standing up by herself as a nurse enters one last time. "I'll put the bags in the car", Lexi says picking them up before walking out with Caleb. "These are the medicines she had to take, each one is labelled stating when to take and how often she should take them", she says passing them to me as I put them in my pocket as aria leans into me for support.

"Are you sure you don't want the wheel chair I'd recommend it", the nurse says as she shakes her head. "I want to do it myself", she replies as the nurse sends a faint smile towards her. "You already know about all the cleaning and changing of the bandages I'm guessing", she says as I nod.

"Well you're all good to go then I hope you make a speedy recovery and that we won't have to see you again", she says before leaving. I put my arm around arias waist before lifting her arm over my shoulder for her to hold on to.

"No I want to do it myself", she says as I don't let go. "Oh be quiet you are going to do it by yourself come on", i reply as she mutters the word 'prick' underneath her breath.

That's my girl.

We make our way out the room heading down the corridor followed by a number of guards in-front and behind. We stop halfway as she starts getting tired. "Let me carry you amore", i say as she hesitates before letting me pick her up.

Shortly after we made it back to the house, I made sure aria was comfy in bed accompanied by Lexi before making my way back to my office. "Right good news, my father has gio and his men", i say as everyone looks shocked.

"What how"? Santi asks. "Let's just say he's been chasing them since the night he took aria", i reply. "Now in a few days when everything's settled he's going to allow me to pay them a visit", i say. "I want all of you to stay here at the house for aria".

"Under no circumstances are you to let her out of your sight, even tho Gio is out of the picture we still have enemies", i say. "Santi, Caleb, and ash you three will be coming with me", i add. "What about lex"? Ash asks. "She'll be staying with aria", i reply.

"This will be the first time I'll be leaving her by herself since the accident and if anything happens it's all on you", i say. "I will hold each and every one of you accountable if even a scratch hits her body, do I make myself clear", i say as everyone agrees.

"Very well spread the word to the others", i say as everyone leaves except Santi. "So he really has him then", he asks as I nod. "Sounds like it", i reply bringing out a folder from the desk.

"He took photos of every guard he was able to get his hands on including photos of the man himself", i say bringing out a separate folder just on Gio. "And he has them all"? Santi asks looking through the photos. "Every single one you see he has, they've been split apart in separate rooms so there's no escape", i add.

I had been in the office for the rest of the night. Planning out what I was going to do when I visit gio and his men. I was given blueprints of the building from my father and which room each person was in alongside a list of info about each one to match the photos taken.

We arrived back home at 11am and it was now 6pm so I decided to finish up for the night. I packed everything away back into the drawers before locking the room behind me placing the key into my pocket.

I made my way back upstairs towards our room to find aria not inside. A faint line of light immersed from beneath the bathroom door so I figured she'd be in there. Walking over to the door I hear faints sniffs as the sound of a tap turns off.

"Aria"? I say knocking on the door. "Yeah I'm here I'll be out in a second", she replies closing drawers. I open the bathroom door seeing her stood in front of the sink in her underwear staring at herself in the mirror.

"What's wrong", i say walking up behind her as she looks into the reflection up at me. "I look disgusting", she replies looking back at herself in the mirror. "Amore you look far from disgusting, these scars truly show how brave you are and how heavy of a battle you survived", i say turning her around to face me.

"You're the strongest woman I have ever met, these scars don't make you any less beautiful than you already are", i add. "I love you", she says wrapping her arms around my waist resting her head against my chest.

"I love you too amore".
