Antonia W.

Yesterday night had been amazing. We had cuddled very long before falling asleep in each others arms. Carlos was just a person where I felt extremely safe and warm, probably the first person ever, with whom I felt like that.

When I woke up today, I saw that he wasn't next to me and a look at the clock showed me, that it was already breakfast time. Probably he had gone looking after Luca. It wasn't his child and he didn't need to do all theses things, but I was falling in love even more, because he did it.

Quickly I put some shorts on, looking for a shirt, when I saw one of Carlos's laying next to the bed. With a smile on my face I took it and threw it over myself, before walking out the room, to the deck, where we always ate.

"And the dinosaurs will ran over the fields." I heard Carlos say as I walked around the corner.

"No, " Luca giggled, sitting across from the Spaniard with a bowl of cereals, "They are long dead, there are no dinosaurs."

"Ask your mother if you don't believe me." Carlos returned and nodded into my direction.

Immediately Luca turned around, looking at me.

"There are no dinosaurs, don't let yourself be fooled by Carlos." I said and kissed his hairline before walking over to the Spaniard.

"Good morning babe." I whispered and leaned down to join our lips.

"Didn't bring any shirts with you, I see." he nudged me, but I just shrugged my shoulders and smiled.

The breakfast was amazing and as we had all finished our food and discussed where will want to go today, I needed to know one more thing.

"How did you sleep honey?" I therefore asked my son and in the side of my eyes I could see Carlos smirk.

"Good, I am not scared anymore." Luca returned.

"That's nice. You didn't hear anything? There was a loud storm washing over us." I explained and next to me Carlos really had problems with holding back his laugh.

"No, I sleep fine, didn't hear anything." my son returned innocent and a stone fell from my heart, he really didn't hear us, luckily.

As that was clear, we quickly changed and then Rico brought us to the land with a small boat. It was a tiny harbor from where we started our walk, following a street up a hill. The landscape was beautiful.

While Luca was happily running in front of us, Carlos and I walked hand in hand behind him, looking over the fields and little Italien houses. After some time a small Golf drove next to us.

"Oh alcuni turisti, dove stai andando?" he asked friendly and Carlos returned in perfect Italian, that we were just walking around.
(Oh some tourists, where are you going to?)

As the old man was the first human we saw closely Carlos asked him, where we could fine any restaurants or anything to eat maybe.

"No restaurants, eating with familia." he said in his broken English.

Carlos and I looked at each other as the man invited us to his home, saying his wife would make us some pasta. As he was extremely friendly and didn't seem to recognize us, we decided to go with him, also because Luca was getting a bit tired from all the walking.
