Chapter 7

"Amy, love, do you think you may be pregnant. Phone for an appointment, Amy, and I will come with you, okay."
"Okay, Mum , thank you."

Amy was on the phone and got an appointment for 11 am. She told her mum and then went out to see Onyx.
She was just approaching the barn when she heard Ty talking to someone. She didn't want to interrupt him, so she waited outside for a while.
It wasn't long before she realised that he was talking to Onyx.
"Hello Husband"
"Oh hey love, I was just telling Onyx here that he's a very handsome stallion."
"That he is."
"Well, I'd better get to work, I'll see you tonight. You look beautiful, Amy."
"Thanks, Ty. I'll see you later. Love you."
"Love you too. Byee."

Amy went back into the house and sat on the sofa, waiting for her mum to get back.
She was riding Onyx when a branch hit her, knocking her off Onyx and her landing on top of a good size branch that had come down earlier, Amy woke up now knowing it wasn't just a dream but a memory, She decided to write it down in her diary like she had her other dreams.
When her mum came in, Amy explained what she had just dreamed and how they were memories.
"So what you're saying love is that the truck, you being attacked are memories, and there was a man who was going to help you, but instead he hit you on the back of your head."
"Yes, but reading through my notes, he was behind me and must have hit me in the same area on my head. That's why I had two separate injuries."
"We'll have a word with the doctor while we're there. We'd better go. What about Ty? "
" Not yet, I want to be sure before I say anything, mum."
"Okay love, I can understand that."

Amy was with the doctor some time, and she was very thorough with her she did a few tests and then sat Amy down and called Marion in as Amy wanted her with her.
"Right, well, you're definitely Pregnant Amy so let's do an ultrasound scan and see how far you are, shall we."
Amy and Marion were worried that she'd been raped when the bloke hit her.
"Well, look at that, I'd say 8 weeks Amy, congratulations . Also, after my examination, I'd say that you were not raped. He either got cold feet or was disturbed and gave up."
Marion suddenly remembered something, seeing those people trying to round up their horses.
"He did get disturbed Amy, there were people trying to round up their horses."

Thirty minutes later, they came out and went straight to the truck.
Nothing was said on the drive home, Marion had tears of relief in her eyes, and Amy couldn't stop crying. She was curled up on the rear seat. She was happy she was pregnant but relieved he never got to do what he intended.
Marion was also fuming at her soon to be ex husband, she wanted words with him first before she phoned the police.

While Amy was with the doctor she explained about her dreams but couldn't understand why she was having them, then she explained how she came to the conclusion that they must be memories of what happened after she was knocked unconscious, probably given a drug to prevent her from remembering and given the drug not just random dreams.
The doctor was really good and helped Amy to relax and take deep breaths, then slow them down and got her to think about what happened.
It worked, and Amy started crying, remembering some of what happened. The doctor assured her that she wasn't raped as he obviously abandoned the idea due to other circumstances people around

Marion pulled up to the ranch house, and Amy ran inside before Ty turned up.
Amy was lying on her bed, totally distraught by what had come to light. Then she starts to remember some of the things he was saying. She runs into the kitchen and tells her mum it was to do with her dad owing him money. He was getting some of it back through her.
"I feel like a prostitute Mum, Dad used me to pay off the money he owed this man."
"Just be glad that he never got the chance to do anything, Amy."
Amy goes back to her room, and Marion hears her bedroom door slam shut.

Tim is working at the racecourse and lives in a small motorhome, buys food, and pays his land rent. The rest he drinks and gambles with. He's nothing like the man he was when he met Marion, but he doesn't care anymore. His phone rings, and he see's it's Marion, his spirit's lift a little until he answers the call.
"Hello Marion."
"Don't you Hello me, you pimp. Selling your daughter off for sexual favours because you owe someone money."
"What, NO, I wouldn't, I never. I told him to leave her alone, honestly Marion. "
"How hard did you tell him not to touch her."
"He said she wouldn't remember, but I definitely told him not to touch her."
"Well, he messed up Tim, Amy remembers everything, including what he said about Amy paying for your debts."
Marion wanted to punch Tim real hard.
As Marion started to tell Tim to stay away, Tim shouted at her.
" MARION, HE WILL KILL HER TO STOP BEING IDENTIFIED."
"What, is this the sort of people you hang around with nowadays? This is your fault. You've put our daughter in danger, Tim. You're a stupid drunk who doesn't care what happens to your family, as long as you're safe. You make me sick, oh and just so you know you're Daughter and Son in law are expecting their first child. Okay, Granddad."
