Chapter 9

Tim Fleming was lying on the floor. He had a bloody nose and two black eyes.  Ty sat on the floor with a black eye and a bloody lip.
Marion was surprised when Ty basically threw Tim through the door.
Tim got himself up off the floor and stood facing Marion.
"Well, well, it's a change to see you on the receiving end, Tim. You did ., just a black eye, eh?"
"He got a lucky shot in, so I made it two black eyes and a bloody nose."
"Thank you, Ty. Amy is out of surgery, and you'll have to ask the nurses where she is."
"Thanks, Marion,  and you Tim had better behave yourself, make sure you answer the questions."
Ty left and phoned the police before he got in his truck.
When he got to the hospital he went to the nurse's station, and one of them took Ty to see Amy after they checked his identity. When they got there, Ty saw that Amy had security.
He felt a complete idiot to question Amy’s story of what happened to her. He also called her stupid and making up stories.
Marion gave Tim a right dressing down about what almost happened to his daughter and what happened this morning. "Do something about this Tim before we lose her, I'm surprised she survived being shot. But then again Tim,  she lost her child."
As Tim just looked, he didn't say a thing, just turned and headed for the door, which opened, and police walked in with handcuffs .
"Nice one, Ty."
Marion said to herself and smiled as Tim was led away.

Ty sat by Amy's bed as often as possible,  after a few day's she was awake but getting shot and losing her child had a dramatic impact on her mental health,  the things Ty said went round in her head.
Amy wondered if Ty was really the one for her after the comments, he said. "Did he truly think she was childish and making up stories of being attacked for attention,  it certainly sounded that way. What did he call me! are yes, 'stupid'."
Ty would sit there looking at Amy, and she would sit or lay there looking at him and not speak.
"Amy, we need to talk, please.  I'm Sorry for the things I said, I'm sorry I didn't believe you, you were right about things happening out of our control,  but at least you'll be able to get pregnant again."

"You just say the wrong things every time don't you, what about my emotions Ty, I just lost my baby Stupid, yes I'm lucky I can try again, but what did I lose, a boy or girl, what would they have been like."
"I didn't mean to flip the loss off just like that ."
"You may not have intended it, Ty, but as far as my daughter is concerned, you did Ty. What if she couldn't have any more children,  what then Ty, would you still love her knowing she couldn't give you any offspring to further your line.".
"Err Marion,  sorry, but this is our conversation,  I'd be grateful if you'd leave us to continue. "

"Leave Ty, before you say anything else to make it worse."
Ty looked at Amy, not believing what she just said, then seeing Marion just looking at him .
"You sound so dismissive just like Tim."
He left and went home.
"How are you, mum?"
"Fine Amy, I thought it was a graze, but it went straight through. How are you doing, love? I was so scared when I saw all that blood, and it wouldn't stop flowing. I'm so sorry you lost the baby love, and give Ty a chance, eh? He's never been good with words, has he."
"No, he hasn't."
"Your father's been arrested,  thanks to Ty. That's how he got that black eye while catching him. Your father came off worse and is now in jail."
Tim decided that after the threats to his daughter, he would give the name of the one responsible to the police officers.
It turned out he was wanted by the police for drug offences as well as illegal gambling.  He was sentenced to 15 years  in prison.

4 Years Later

Tim finished his Rehab for Alcohol and his Gambling.
Amy and Ty got on with their life and now have a child , a 3-year-old girl called  Lyndy after her grandmother.  Her Grandpa lives in Alberta, but due to a falling out between his daughter, Son- in-law, and eldest granddaughter Lou, Marion and Tim moved away.

Amy has never met him, so she thought it would be nice to name their first daughter after her grandma.
It did take some time for Amy to get over the things Ty said and losing their child.
Ty's job was going very well, infact the garage owner was usually away for six months of the year, Racing motorbikes.
He always took his own crew with him, and one of them had just retired. He knew only one person was good enough to replace the old man, and that was Ty Borden.  He had no way he was going to explain this to his beautiful wife.
Amy wasn't as forgiving as she used to be, and Ty knew this was his own fault for the way he treated her as if she was a 16 Yr old teenager and not a 25 Yr old wife.
Ty knew he had about 4 months before he had to leave, and he was definitely going.
As the days moved on, Ty was starting to act differently without him noticing. He had no idea it was that noticeable. Even Marion had noticed.
After a week, Amy decided it was time to ask Ty what was going on.
"Ty, can we talk please. "
"Yeah, what's up."
"Well, you tell me love. You've been acting suspicious all week. Even my mum asked me what you were up to , it was really awkward love. So what's going on."
"Err, well Err, my boss does motorcycle racing and one of his mechanic's has retired."
"Oh, that's a shame, so why all the acting differently."
"Well he wants me to replace him when he goes racing, the wages are amazing Amy."
"Well I know you love working with bikes, so when would you go to the racing event !!."
"In about 4 months when the season starts."
"Well that seems good, and the wages would help us get our own place."
"Errm yeah of course love."
The Errm didn't go unnoticed by Amy, and she knew Ty wasn't telling her everything.
