46. What Happened To Me...

             As soon as I opened the door, I was immediately enveloped in a tight hug by Ms. Phrien. "Sheila!" She cried out my name, her voice quivering with relief. After releasing her hold, her eyes scanned my face, filled with concern. However, her expression suddenly changed when she noticed my hair. After a few seconds of silence from her, she quickly ushered me inside, closing the door behind us as we went in.

             As we sat on the couch, she began to ask me questions. "What happened to you? Where did you go?" She asked, her voice soft but full of worry. "I know that I took a while to finish when I told you that it would just be quick and I'm sorry for that..." She continued, her voice filled with apology.

             "B-But when I returned to the rooftop, you were nowhere to be found! I tried calling and messaging you again but there was no response from you. So, I became extremely worried and even checked your apartment multiple times to see if you had returned. Yet, after a few hours had passed, you have only just come back now. And It's almost past midnight!" Ms. Phrien added, her concern growing.

             I winced, feeling guilty for causing Ms. Phrien so much worry. "I'm so sorry, Ms. Phrien. I didn't mean to make you so worried about me... I'm still... a bit reluctant to tell you what happened today, but... you're the only person I have right now. And I really don't want to hide anything from you... but..."
