Chapter 2
Felix wakes up the following morning. He looks around the unfamiliar room. Felix sees Tommy passed out on the floor. "What to do, what to do?" he questions himself. He thinks back about what they talked about. Tommy told Felix about what was going on in the Kingdom.
"According to Tommy, the Kingdom of Hyperion began to lose money after the war. Many believe that King Arnold Sycamore spent too much." The Kingdom of Hyperion began many years ago. It became one of the most potent Kingdoms to date. They were the first to send troops and support the war. Their economy grew thanks to the channels of rivers that passed through it, helping bring trade from other Kingdoms.
The ruler of Hyperion is King Arnold Sycamore. He is known as the most excellent King. King Arnold was compassionate. He was also a fool. King Arnold caught his Queen cheating on him and banished her from the kingdom. He then married another and had Princess Sophie Sycamore.
Felix stepped over Tommy's body and headed over to the mirror. He takes another look at himself. Felix was husky; he had messy, short brown hair. His eyes were light brown, and he was clean-shaven. Felix still had some muscles, but he felt ashamed.
"What happened to me? Tommy said that the war ended ten years ago. It doesn't feel that long. I don't have memories of me living here. I need to find more answers." Felix leaves the house and heads into town. He had his farming clothes on.
The townsfolk wave to him and greet him. Felix waves back but doesn't know them. The town was average in size, with quite a few families. Felix made it to the town center. The citizens were awake buying supplies and groceries.
The stall owners greeted Felix and offered some discounts. Felix smiles and continues to walk. The stall owners look confused. Some people see him and wonder if he is all right. The people begin to talk about him and what happened four days prior.
As Felix wanders the town, confused, he notices a woman. She was the one who was with the town leader. He calls out to her. The woman sees him and greets him. Felix asks if she knows where the village chief is. The woman told him that he was working in the orchards. She points him in that direction. Felix thanks her.
Felix made his way to the orchard. He saw the workers happily enjoying themselves. They talked about the weather and some gossip happening in town. They then noticed Felix and asked how he was doing. Felix again smiled and waved. He asks one of the workers if he knows where the chief is. He points at him.
Felix thanks him and walks over to the village chief. The chief was telling some of the workers where to go. He was picking apples from the trees. Felix approaches and calls him. "Sir," The village chief turns around. "OH, Felix, feeling better?"
Felix told him he was fine. "Do you remember who you are or is this the real Felix." Felix didn't know how to answer that. "I need to speak with you." The chief stops working and tells Felix to walk with him. "What's on your mind." He asks.
"I know you all think I'm crazy and believe in my past self, but I know this is me. I need to ask you for a favor." The village chief checks some of the apple trees. They then continue walking for a while. Felix sees the town from the orchard. "What is it you need?" the village chief asks.
"I have to go see Sophie," Felix said without hesitation. The chief stares at him. He sees he is serious about it. "Princess Sophie?" he says. "Why do you need to do that?" Felix tells him what he learned from Tommy. He wants to know if the marriage is real. "Princess Sophie is getting married. They don't just let anyone walk up to her." "I know it's too much to ask, but I need to do this; I must know what happened."
The village chief continues to stare at him. He sees that Felix isn't lying about what he wants. "Okay, what do you know?" "What do you mean?" Felix asks. "The world is vast, and you might not know who you are. What do you know about the world?" he asks.
