anupamaa :
I stared at him.
The shell fell off.Still there, still the same.
Still a defeated father, still a deranged man trying to cope up.And I was still the same.
Helplessly in love, afraid to lose again."Anuj.. aap jayiyein.", I whispered.
Anuj realised the situation was going too far so he turned and left."Mujhe bhi jaana hi chahiye.", He whispered, raspily.
I drew in a deep breath.
There was little to say anymore."Dhokha aapne diya tha. Yeh sab kuch agar bikhra hai.. toh aapki wajah se, Mister Shah.", I whispered.
He regained composure, gulped.
"Jaanta hu.", He said.
I nodded.
After a moment of silence he walked out of the house.
I sat back at the dining table.Samar zinda hota?

vanraj :
I walked down the alley in silence.
I went too far. Said too much.
Revealed too much. The cold was setting in.
Winters in NYC had definitely not been on my palate in this birth.
I got off the footpath to cross the road.
I heard the loud blaring of horn from afar. But somehow my mind seemed too clogged up.
I couldn't help but find myself diving deep in guilt.Just then a car hit me from behind.
Hard.I lost balance and fell in front, the spectacles sliding off from my face, onto the road.
"Arrey uncle, dikhta nehi hai kya?!", I heard, in a strange American accent.
The voice was exceedingly familiar, but the accent was different.I struggled to get a hold of my spectacles.
I heard a sigh, the car door open and shut loudly.
The man stepped before me, bent and picked up my glasses."Chalo aacha hai toota nehi.", He said, sighing.
He placed it before me."Le lo."
I took it, and stood up.
"You were driving at a speed much higher than limit, sir!", It was the police who had come rushing."Yeah? I might hand you a cheque of five hundred dollars so that you can leave. Okay?", The man before me said in arrogance.
I wore my specs.
And froze.
"You are going to bribe us?! The police?!", The inspector asked enraged.
The boy before me, smiled.
A smile not even minimally devilish.
The eyes, kinder than the world.
But the aura of arrogance distinct."I am Sumedh Shah. I can buy your whole department, so instead of giving me a lecture get outta here.", He said smoothly.
I gulped.
"The business tycoon?", Another officer asked.
The boy's smirk widened.
"Yes.", He said, "So my dear friend.."
He joined his hands with utmost courtesy.
"Jai Shree Krishna"
I stared at the boy before me.
Exact same eyes, exact same smile and exact same charm. It was Samar, yet it wasn't.
It wasn't the same person, yet it was.•••
