"I'm here at Cryst, where a tragic situation continues to unfold. The ongoing incidents of violence against students have forced schools across Japan to shut down. Authorities, including special forces and the police, are working together to stop the perpetrator, but so far, they haven't been successful."

The reporter continued as I sighed, the wind brushing through my forehead. I fixed my hair and sat up. Turning the mobile off, I put it aside. Hunter was grabbing some wood to put it on the fireplace. I looked at him.

"What are you doing?" I asked looking at him.

He stopped working and looked at me. "I thought you wanted a fireplace."

I  looked away. "You don't have to," I said.

He smiled and continued to fix some wood inside the fireplace. With all the money he had in the bank, he had brought some acres of land. I was curious about why he was spending so much, then he said that he wanted some peace while we planned the destruction of schools. It was safe.

However, the police force of Japan as well as BVO was onto us. We lived our lives normally. But the constant bombings done by Hunter needed to dim down. Because he had his finals a few weeks later.

I wanted him to focus on his studies because I didn't want him to later blame me for his academic downfall. Even though, he cares nothing about his schools and studies.

In the land, that he brought there was a small two-story wooden house where in front of us was a river, and a few feet away from the river there was a waterfall. It was a jungle where we were in.

The sun was setting and the evening looked beautiful. I looked out of the window. This was such a peaceful place to live in. But going home, to my father after all this was as excruciating as the peace.

"Are you done?" I asked him as he wiped his forehead with his sleeves and smiled at me. He nodded like a child proud of his work.

He went to the side to reveal the fireplace. It was the rainy season and it got chilly at night. I once told him, that it would have been better if this place had a fireplace for the warmth and he made it for me.

"You should be studying now," I said as he rolled his eyes.

Walking to my side he sat on the couch beside me. "Why are you such a freak about studying?" He asked.

I shrugged. "I like studying."

He made an expression of disbelief. "Who the hell likes studying?"

I don't know why. The only thing by which my father could be a little less disappointed in me was when I was at the top of my academics or won a math competition. That's all I did. "I don't have any other purpose than this."

"Studying is the purpose of your life?" He chuckled, still in disbelief.

"I don't know my purpose in life," I said and looked at him. His smile disappeared. "What is your purpose in life, Hunter?"

He looked at me as if he was the most honest person living and smiled. "I wanted to burn down the world." He said. "When I have been abandoned, killed, used, hated all alone since birth, my only purpose was to be on top of the world and watch it burn... With everyone inside I heard their screams."

"I would have danced, Maya. That would have been the sweetest memory." He looked outside the window up at the sky. "I would have paid the universe back."

"Will you let me burn too? Would my screams sound like melody?" I asked as he locked eyes with me.

"If I wanted you to burn, I wouldn't keep you warm and safe." He said. "It would be a legacy."

I looked away from him. His eyes were intoxicating. "I am no different from the monsters who hurt you."

"They were damned. They created my darkness." He brushed his fingers softly on my cheeks. "You share my darkness, Maya. You are a monster."

He cupped my cheeks looking into my eyes. "My monster,"

"Don't you have any manners when seniors ask you for money?" The boy hit her cheeks.

She sniffed, scared and shaking. Her school uniform was getting wet in the rain. Her skirt was stuck to her legs giving the boys in front of her, a view they wanted.

She tried to cover herself.

The boy shouted. "I said keep your hands up!"

She bit her lips and raised her hands. They continued seeing her. One of the girls from the group- annoyed came in front of the girl.

"Why are you being such a slut?" She scoffed. "Have some shame, will you?"

She looked at her. "T-They told me to-" Before she could finish her sentence a slap sounded on the school ground. The boys hooted.

She grabbed the girl's hair and made her look up. "Maybe it's because you have no parents but I swear, you need some lessons." She said.

I let out a deep breath. Thankfully I am not rough anymore and know how to execute a perfect plan. So I ignored Hunter beside me and walked in front of the group.

"I'll be damned if I know that one of you sexually assaulted Tanaka's mother," I said.

All of them looked at me, not recognizing me. "Who the heck are you?"

The girl left her hair and looked at me. "Aren't you, Maya?" She said and sarcastically gasped. "Did you kill Yuri And Shotaro?"

She was getting on my nerves. But I have to deal with her later. "Thank you for picking such a perfect place," I said.

"Do you think you are something big? You don't even belong in this school. Yuri and Shotaro were killed by the infamous murderer."

"Exactly," I said.

Their laughter dimmed down. The smile was wiped away from her face. They looked at Hunter coming to my side holding two knives.

"As per my research, you guys killed 5 second-year students forcing them to suicide, you all beat 6 students to death and destroyed the lives of 14 banning Japan's small to the largest companies by banning them from employing the filthy money of your parents," I said.

They all shifted. "What the heck is your deal?" The boy asked me. I signaled the girl who was being bullied to leave the school grounds as she did.

I looked at them. "I have to finish my homework so let's end this quickly."

"My father is a funder of the BVO. I'll set up something to get some information." I told Hunter.

He nodded. "We have to be ahead of them." He said.

"They can't get to us," I said and headed inside my house. Before closing the door, I looked at him once.

"Sleep well, My Monster." He mouthed and winked at me. Though I rolled my eyes and shut the door on his face, I smiled while walking up to my bedroom.
