I won't be fine. Although I escaped from the fighting scene, reassuring Hunter that I would be fine, I was not so sure anymore. My leg was bleeding and I was deep inside a forest where I got lost. I managed to trick one of the guards and was out of the terrace.
Hunter was probably in our usual hideout with the pen. Perhaps, we were suspicious intruders but there was no doubt that the police force was sure in some way that we are doubtless suspects in the murder of the police chief. Thankfully no one saw our faces. But now they had the idea of who the serial killer or serial killers could be. Now they might use Plurals in the news.
I groaned and slid down a tree. It was getting dark. I had no signal here. My phone's battery was low too. I sighed and looked around. My sight was blurry and my view was limited to the trees in front of me and the sky above me. Maybe I lost my way. I could find my way back but the main problem was my bleeding leg.
I bit my lips. The cut was swift but it was so deep that I could almost see my flesh coming out. I tried to keep the pain aside. Taking off my shirt I ripped the piece down. There were some tree barks and twigs beside me. I crawled towards those and collected them. Taking some grass I chewed it, making a paste I put the twigs and the paste on my legs.
Good heavens, that stung. Tears fell from my eyes. I tried to calm down and tightly wrapped the cloth on my leg. That stopped the bleeding. I was breathing heavily. That exhausted me.
I took a deep breath. I still had to walk to safety before it got too dark. I stood up but then stumbled on my legs I had no strength. Cursing under my breath I tried one more time but failed.
My eyes widened when my phone sounded a notification. Did I get a signal? I picked it up. Noticing it was an email from the school. It was a ranking for the final results. I tapped in. This was a priority even when I was bleeding in the middle of nowhere.
My blood started running cold when I did not find my name in the first place. I kept on looking. When I went past 27 rank in my damn class my hands started shaking. Baba's friend's son came first and I was nowhere near.
When my eyes reached rank 38, my breathing stopped. My grades dropped to a proper 60% in all of them. My whole body was shaking. I shook my head. "This is not possible."
The email probably reached my father. He is probably fuming, heating an iron rod for me at home. But that will be a very simple punishment. He will do something much worse, much cruel.
Just when my thoughts could not get darker, his text snatched my attention.
-"Come home, now."
The calmness in his text indicated the many possibilities of his torture. I have been focusing too much on the police chief and have been investigating the cases against him on the Supreme Court which was in vain when they were fed enough money from him.
The mission was fucked. I was fucked.
The dark clouds looming over my head indicated that it would rain very soon. It seemed like the universe was against me today. I smiled. "Is this a revenge?" I whispered. "Because I was always against you?"
"The universe was always against me too." A voice from behind me made me jump in front. I forgot the pain in my legs and held my defense which was my phone.
The beautiful man from earlier was smiling at me and the phone that I held. He took in my defensive posture and tried to signal me to calm down with his hands. He sat down in the place I was in earlier.
He looked as if he was not meeting the murderer he had seen in the bathroom earlier. I wanted to do something to wipe that smile off of his face.
"Aren't I supposed to be scared here?" He asked.
'Then why aren't you?" I calmed down putting my phone aside.
He smirked. The wind blew away the stands of his hair.
The man was ethereal but his beauty was not what I should focus on right now. "Who are you? Why are you trying to save us?"
"I am Abdullah Ali Akbar and I have no intention of saving you." He said looking at me. His eyes held no intention and that made me anxious.
"Then what was that?" I asked still not letting my guard down. I was beyond suspicious of this man.
"In front of the now-dead chief? I hated him too, don't worry about it." His eyes narrowed to my wounded leg. He pointed at it. "Do you need help with that?"
My jaw clenched. "You know who we are." My voice was barely audible. It was getting harder for me to stand.
"Are you asking if I was present when you and Hunter were planning world domination?" He laughed at the end of his words as his voice was sarcastic.
He was in the jungle when Hunter killed Yuri and Shotaro? "You were in the jungle?" I asked in disbelief.
He nodded.
I was not scared that this guy knew that the whole world was announcing what we wanted. He looked nothing like us. But he looked exactly like the guy whose case I had solved out of boredom. The case of Zulfikar against the European leaders and Billionaires.
"Zulfikar-Al-Ghayb," I whispered. "You are the guy who exposed and took down the European government."
He looked surprised. "It seems like you are more of a genius than I think."
"You are a detective. You are after me." I asked gulping. I was contemplating every way I could kill him right now.
"I was not a detective because I was against evil people. I was just against my father. I wanted to prove him wrong." He stood up. "But when I did prove him wrong, I realized that not only him, but the whole world was lawless. Everything was foul." He said looking at me.
"Just like you," He continued. "Our mindset is quite alike." He chuckled.
"What do you want from us?" I backed away from him but when I moved my wounded leg, I hissed and stumbled in front.
He caught me. "Everyone has their perspective of justice. I want to know what is the Integrity of your violence."
I tried to get away from his hold but he was stronger than I thought. He made me sit against the tree. "I don't touch non-mahram woman. It's prohibited in Islam. But it's also prohibited to leave a lady in distress."
"I am not," I grunted as he opened the cloth on my leg.
He smiled. "No matter what, I will find both of you no matter how much you run away."
"Putting us in jail is of no use," I said. He took out his handkerchief and made it wet with a water bottle he had. He cleaned my wound ripped a part of his shirt and wrapped it around my leg.
"I said I will see your Integrity of violence. I will see how you prove to me that your idea of justice is correct. Then I will help you destroy the whole world. I promise." He looked into my eyes. "Then, you'll have Zulfikar by your side at all times."
