On the morrow, Aemond awoke on the settee, with his eyepatch off and tucked up in a blanket. He wondered who did this for him. He thought it would've been his mother or his sister. He didn't think much of it, apart from he got an excruciating headache. He picked himself up and cleaned himself, washing his hair and putting on fresh set of clothes, as he was getting ready he got a wiff of cherries and vanilla, he recognised the smell and questioned where it was coming from. He soon headed downstairs to see his sister sewing in the dinner hall.
"Good morrow brother? I'm surprised you're up this early?, you drank a bit more than what you usually do."
"Yes.....I can feel it" he mumbled.
"Why would you do that?" She questioned.
Aemond sat down shaking his head.
"I just got reminded....of....that night"
"I see, I don't think drinking that amount of wine will ever make you forget what happened, besides Aelora visited you last night."
Aemond looked up sharply at his sister.
"When?!" He yelled.
"She's the one that tucked you in, and took care of you, I didn't expect her too especially after what you called her...."
"I remember what I said to her....and I meant it."
"You know full well brother that she is Daemon and Rhaenyra's daughter, and to question that is treason" Helaena sighed.
Aemond looked over at his sister knowing she was right, however, he would never admit it.
"I suggest seeing her as she did with you last night....she did you a great favour, even after you years of hatred for one another"
"Fine, I'm only doing this for you sister" Aemond replied.
Helaena knew Aemond wanted to speak with Aelora, she just gave him more reason to do so.
During the afternoon, Aelora was reading in her chamber, she was very invested in the histories of her families past. However, the Princess couldn't stop thinking about The Prince all night, she was remembering that beautiful sapphire....and just as she was about to flick another page a knock on the door occurred. Aelora thought it would've been her mother or father, but stood in the doorway was no one else but the one eyed Prince. Aelora sighed as she thought another argument was going to conjure.
"Aelora?" Aemond spoke softly.
"I was just about to come and speak with you?" Aelora sighed.
"No, you didn't need too" he replied.
Aelora was confused as to why his tone had changed all of a sudden after days of back and forth insults.
"I just wanted to come and apologise to you."
Aelora's face dropped, she was astonished that the stubborn Prince Aemond said the word sorry.
"It was unspeakable of me to make an accusation about you publicly....and for that I apologise again"
Aelora wasn't hearing things as he just said it again. She took a step closer to him, to where she could feel his breathing.
"Daemon....and Rhaenyra are my parents. And for you to suggest otherwise? Is a vile accusation."
He stared at her.
"You're lucky I don't have your head for this." She said bluntly.
"I've learnt my lesson Princess" he smirked.
Aelora backed away, grabbing her wine glass.
"Good" she expressed.
"I-" he stuttered.
"Yes Aemond?" She frowned.
"I just wanted to say, you looked lovely last night."
Aelora blushed shaking her head.
"You didn't look so bad yourself" she smiled.
"Come fly with me."
Aelora turned sharply to him, almost mishearing what he just said to her.
"Pardon?" She laughed nervously.
"Go and get Luna, and we will fly together with me and Vhagar."
"Now?" The princess questioned.
The prince smirks "Yes? Unless you're afraid?"
Aelora raised her eyebrows and walked up to the princes pale face.
"Targaryens are never afraid."
