The rain poured down upon to the sea, little rain droplets went down Alicent's face, she felt numb in her throat, she could barely swallow without it hurting. The Dowager Queen didn't want to believe her own father lied to her about Aelora's statement, she never forgave the new Queen for usurping her son, but she knew deep down she would never declare for Alicent to be put to the sword.

Alicent held her hands on her throat as the boat rocked back and fourth, upon the horizon was the place she once called home, she never felt the same after Rhaenyra's death, Alicent never regretted not bending the knee to Aelora, she had so many thoughts of what her family could be like if she never believed her fathers lies. The dowager Queen sat down and watched her father writing a raven, her sadness quickly turned to anger, she felt as if she lost her best friend and now her own son within days.

Moreover, Alicent knew Aemond, she knew him better than anyone in Westeros, she knew he would return to her some day, for now, the Dowager Queen wanted to make amends for her and her beloved son.  Suddenly, the Queen sat down on a chair across from her father, he didn't look up at her nor made conversation, he kept on writing away.

"You lied to me."

Otto looked upon his daughter with a frown.

"Alicent, you don't believe the words of a usurper do you?"

"And yet the usurper speaks for himself." she replied.

Otto's frown got bigger, she was shocked his daughter was believing Aelora over her own father.

"Daughter? that whore took your sons throne, and threatened you!"

The Queen got more and more agitated as he kept on speaking about Aelora.

"My son would've desired mercy be shown to his future wife! If he wanted the throne so badly he would've took it back!"

"Your son? Or you. Your childhood best friend's companion who only wants to defend Rhaenyra's daughter."

Alicent's anger faded, she wanted to help Rhaenyra after her death since she couldn't do it when she was alive.

"I loved you father, I truly did, but all you are is a power hungry cunt......wanting to destroy my family. I will burn my house to the ground before I let you destroy my children! Aelora is the rightful Queen, my son was just unlucky to be replaced."

Otto didn't speak a word, Alicent's words hit him harder than ever.

"When we pull up to the harbour, you will leave Kingslanding permanently, if you dare to come back, I will have your head thrown into the narrow sea."

Otto didn't show emotion nor did he move an inch to try and plea with his daughter.

"Yes, Your grace......."

Alicent watched as he stopped writing and walked towards the door. A tear streamed down the Dowager Queens face, he was the only one of her family she had left, her mother died when she was a child, Otto was the only thing left of her childhood. However, Alicent knew he was a traitor, and if she didn't get rid of him her family would pay the price for his actions. Therefore, just as Otto reached the door of the boat, he stopped and gripped the handle.

"You will regret the day, you banished your own father Alicent."

Alicent turned around and glared at his back with a stern, she saw a brick vase on the table, her anger made her want to throw it over his head. However, the Queen kept her guard up, and didn't budge, she picked at her hands instead to try and distract herself. Otto walked through the door, gently closing it behind him, Alicent tears stopped, she had this sudden feeling of relief going through her body, she knew this was the last time she was ever going to see her father alive, her eyes wondered from the door to the table where he was writing.

The Queen curiously picked up the old crumpled page of words......

Alicent fell onto the chair, she shaked her head is disbelief, the letter her father was writing ordered for Queen Aelora to be murdered. The dowager Queen knew that with Aemond leaving Kingslanding to go to Dragonstone, that the new Queen would be safe, despite Aemonds hatred, Alicent knew he cared about her deep down under that scar.

Alicent picked up the letter and piece by piece she ripped it apart, she took the pieces and tossed them into the fireplace on the boat, she bit her lip and took herself onto the dock of the boat, outside she saw the beaming castle of her once beloved home, she never felt more relaxed to be at home, she couldn't wait to greet her children Helaena and Aegon and of course her grandchildren, Jaehaera and Maelor.

The Queen walked off the boat, rushing towards the castle, as she got inside the castle lit up, almost like all of her problems had been erased from banishing her father, Alicent walked past Aemonds chamber, she stoops herself and took a deep breath, she opened the door to find an empty room, she walked in touching his furniture, tears were welling in her eyes, all of his belongings, his smell, his clothes made her wish she banished her father sooner, maybe Aemond would've stayed here.

Additionally, Alicent picked up one of her son's eye patches, she hands started to shake, she brought the eyepatch close to her face, she almost grieved that he wasn't home with her. As the Queen was hugging the eye patch, Princess Helaena walked into her brother's room with her mother sitting on his bed.

"He's going to come home mother." she smiled.

Alicent shot up from Aemond's bed and walked over to her daughter hugging her.

"I know he will, I missed you all so much."

"You made the right choice, banishing grandfather was the best thing you've ever done."

Both of them laughed and hugged one another tightly, Helaena's children also came into the room, they were playing with each other. Alicent let go of her daughter and immediately greeted her grandchildren, she hugged both of them kissing their rosy red cheeks. Jaehaera looked around in the room and wondered over to Aemond's dressing table, she picked up his hair brush and started brushing her own hair with it.

"Where is uncle mother?" the girl gently spoke.

"Aemond will come home to us, he's going to bring home your new Queen, and your new auntie." Helaena smiled.

Alicent smiled with that sentence she couldn't wait to meet Aelora again and together build the family they both desired to have.
