After Aelora went to bed, Otto had to make a quick visit to his daughter Alicent late that evening. Otto had always believed Aemond is the rightful heir to throne, being the kings first born son he believes his grandson is being stolen of his birthright. Otto walked past Aemond's chamber, and poked his head through to check if he was in their, to Otto's surprise Aemond wasn't in his chamber studying, he wasn't doing self care, nor was he reading or training. Otto began to worry, if Aemond had ran away from his birthright then no one else but Aelora could ascend the throne.

He paced down the castle halls to see his daughter, if anyone knew where the Prince was, it will be his mother. Otto knocked on Alicents chamber almost shaking.

"Daughter?"

Alicent turned round seeing her father out of breath with worry.

"Father? What's the matter?"

"Have you seen Aemond anywhere?"

"Is he not in his chambers?"

Those words made Otto skip a heartbeat. He knew he had to make his choice now.

"Aemond said he wants to take back his throne

"Aemond said he wants to take back his throne."

Alicent looked at his with disbelief.

"What? When did he say this?"

"That doesn't matter, what matters is that Aemond gets all the allies he needs before Aelora receives them."

His daughter looked at him with despair, she knew this would mean war, especially with Daemon Targaryen as Aelora's father.

"We will make him fly to storms end first, then he can get the support from Lord Borros."

"If you say so father" she sighed.

Alicent didn't know what to do with this information, she was concerned about her son's decision and why he would all of a sudden make a rash decision, she saw how well he was getting along with his betrothed. The Queen Mother, nodded and turned back to the fire, wondering where her son had gone.

Otto then turns to leave his daughter in peace, before he reaches the door he turns to her one last time.

"If Aemond comes back to speak with you, make sure you tell him what he must do."

Alicent nodded at him again. He left without another word.

Late that evening, Aemond does in fact return back to kinglanding, his hair was messy, he looked like he'd been in a fight. Alicent stayed up all night worrying about him, she was stood in his chamber waiting for him.

"Mother? What are you doing on here? Why aren't you asleep?"

Aemond looked down in fury.

"I went on a fly with Vhagar, thinking about what Aelora has said about you."

"What do you mean my son?"

"She said she will have you put to the sword when she ascends the throne."

Alicent went pale, she didn't know what to do with that information, she didn't know whether to be scared, mad or upset.

"Mother, i will protect my family no matter the coast, even if it means taking back my throne, just to protect you."

"Aemond, I never thought she would say those horrific words, I support you no matter what you choose to do, however, your grandfather said to you to fly to storms end on the morrow. You need all the allies you can get if you want to take back that throne."

"Of course, I will fly first thing tomorrow"

"I love you my son, I'm so sorry it had to come to this."

"Don't be sorry Mother, I may of loved Aelora, but after what she said I cannot go through with this marriage."

Alicent left the room finally at ease knowing her son was home safe, Aemond on the other hand stared himself through his sword. He was so frustrated that he managed to fall for the girl who took his eye, obviously Aemond didn't know the cold truth, that his grandfather told everyone a lie.
