Chapter ThreeTW: Slight Harassment.
Waking up, Y/N shoots up and hacks up water from their lungs. Gasping for breath as they do so. Eventually they can catch their breath, their breathing slows down. They take a deep breath and cough slightly, their breathing still slightly raspy.
They observe their surroundings slowly, though their vision is slightly blurry, so they can't make out the complete beauty of their surroundings. They soak up the beauty of the landscape and the architecture of the building they woke up in to the best of their abilities.
A beautiful sunset paints the sky. Like a watercolor painting, the colors blend seamlessly together. They look in awe, knowing that a mere screen can never truly capture the beauty laid out in front of them. Shivering from their drenched clothes, they slowly sit up and rub their head, trying to relieve the pounding headache that's forming.
Observing further, they realize they are on a large balcony. Slowly, they stand up using the railings as a brace and look around, their vision clearing up slightly with every dazed blink. Hearing a slight sound, they jolt to their senses, turn around, and look up.
"You're awake." A soft, yet harsh voice calmly observes. Xiao. With the backdrop of the sky painted various shades of pink, orange, and gold, he looks even more beautiful than he normally does. But Y/N cannot trust anyone anymore after their multiple run-ins with the people in Mondstadt.
Xiao reaches out to them, he hesitates slightly, giving Y/N the impression that he is nervous to meet them. They shrink back as he gets closer, almost falling off the balustrade. His eyes narrow and he holds their hand gently, gingerly setting them upright. Once he saves them from falling off he backs off, knowing Y/N is still very wary of him due the fact that the people in Mondstadt have hurt them.
"I will not hurt you, my dear creator." He steps back again, his permanent frown deepening. "I apologize for whatever those mortals tried to do to you, but I swear on the safety of Liyue, I will do my best to keep you safe, and I will never harm you myself."
They give him a grim smile, remembering the near-death experiences they have faced. They contemplate for a second while Xiao quietly observes them, taking in the features of his world's creator.
They blink a couple of times, taking a deep breath before speaking, their mind racing a million miles an hour as they rethink everything they have gone through. This all feels like some kind of dream. Why does he call them "dear creator" and why did the people in Mondstadt call them an imposter? Why are they here?
They sigh, choosing their words carefully. If they give Xiao too much information the divine knowledge can hurt him. At least that's what they remember from the lore of Genshin. That kind of stuff isn't really their thing.
"Why did you call me your divine creator? And do you know why the knights called me an imposter?"
He looks at them with a mix of confusion and surprise.
"Because you're our creator, you made us and everything on Teyvat. Even Celestia was a part of your creation, though they are much closer to you than anyone here. You are the one god that everyone and everything in Teyvat respects."
He glances downwards, bowing his head slightly as he realizes again that he is in front of his creator. He refocuses his attention to Y/N and stares at them in slight confusion as his words dawn on them.
Teyvat's creator... Celestia... But didn't Hoyoverse create Genshin? How is that possible...
They sigh, Y/N's mussels relaxing slightly as they try to understand what's happening to them.
