Chapter 9
Y/N looks through the window of the boat, watching as the harsh waves rock the boat. They just set sail, and the Shogun's power still controls the sea. It was a bad idea to come here. It's not safe. They kick themself mentally as they stretch. Taking this as a chance to read the book, they sit back and thank the gods that they didn't get it taken from them.
Running their hand over the rough, gold cover, they sigh, their muscles aching as they lay in the bed given to them. They open the book to the first chapter, skimming over the summaries of each of the chapters, not wanting to sit there and read for too long.

୨⎯ Chapter 1- Mondstadt ⎯୧
Over many years, the people in Mondstadt's beliefs have changed. Before the Barbatos took over, and when Decarabian ruled as a tyrant, the people turned to the Creator for help. When no help came, many people sadly lost faith in the Creator and destroyed whatever offerings or altars they had for Them. Nowadays, the people of Mondstadt generally have a lot stronger faith in our Creator.
The number one belief there is that this world was created by our creator. They bestowed power onto Celestia and let them decide who to give power to. One day, our Creator will descend into Teyvat and will rule this world. Another common thing that the common folk do is write stories about our creator. Most commonly, people write about what they believe our creator is like. Most people have never come into contact with them, and most likely never will.
The people there are very serious about respecting the creator, due to their belief in them blessing Barbatos so that he could save Mondstat. For a city of freedom, it's not very free to voice any disrespect toward Them. Though it can be said the same for the other regions, the only true difference is that they use any 'false gods" (also known as imposters, heretics, deceivers, frauds, etc.) as sacrifices for their rituals. There has been only one case of someone voicing their disrespect for them, and as soon as this became the public's knowledge, this person was never heard from again. The people there are generally regarded as 'Cult-Like' or just weird by other regions.

Y/N stares at the paragraph for a minute thinking over the shit they just read. They never EVER imagined any of the sweet people of Mondstadt to be cult-like. But who knows, maybe the author exaggerated a little. It doesn't talk about how they truly act, just about their rituals.
୨⎯ Chapter 2- Liyue ⎯୧
Liyue, the Region of Contracts. The people of this nation have immense respect for the Creator. While they are generally more peaceful than Mondstadt, they will go to extreme lengths to preserve the dignity and respect towards the Creator. Any imposters, while not killed like in Mondstadt, are questioned thoroughly and detained by the Qixing. Often, businessmen and women will disguise themselves as heretics to get audiences with the Tianquan.
A common practice among its citizens is the signing of a contract at birth. The demands differ depending on the region of upbringing, but the main idea is unconditional love and respect for the Creator. Their philosophy is "just as the Creator loves you, so must you love Them." Liyuean children learn stories about the Creator in school. They believe that Liyue was made by the Creator for Rex Lapis, as the two share a special connection.
All over Liyue are precious stones known as "intertwined fates." There are many different beliefs as to what these fates are, but the most common belief is that they are the Creator's tears. As such, they want to give them back to the Creator. They also think that these stones have magical properties and that they don't deserve them.
