Chapter 13
It took too long to get used to driving a Waverider. Y/N ended up flipping it over at least twice and fell out of it almost triple the amount of times.
It's a wonder how the Travelers are able to drive it so easily. They muse to themself.
Quite a bit of the hair dye they used to conceal themself washed away. They curse themself as the whole reason they had asked for it was for the two regions they'd be visiting next. Sighing as they look at their hair in the reflection, they discover that all of it except the tips has washed out.
Rolling their eyes, they look up at the massive place in amazement, before getting their stuff together and getting out of the Waverider. They step out onto the dock, noting all of the people and things surrounding them.
Crowds of people are talking, some who just arrived in Fontaine and some who are leaving, and all the people who just came down to hang out. Y/N looks up to the massive elevator, before bringing their gaze over to the Statue of the Seven. They move over to it and stare up at the statue of Focalors. They part their lips slightly, before the statue glows and a small ball of light floats down and disintegrates in their throat.
Blinking a few times, they take a step back and look around confused. No one seems to be looking at them, so it appears that either no one noticed that ball of light or no one cares. Either way, it doesn't feel like the ball had any adverse effects on them, so they sigh and move towards the elevator.
They walk over to the Melusines that are guarding it, holding their breath unknowingly as they pass, praying to whatever deity that's out there to not be noticed by them. Though it seems that luck is on their side for once, as they passed by the two without so much as a glance.
After a few minutes of waiting, they enter the elevator with two others, one a Vision holder and the other not. Leaning against the rails, they once again marvel at how much effort Hoyoverse does not put into the NPCs.
They avert their eyes from the two people standing next to them, fixating on the door. Due to the fact that there's no windows, they can either stare at the wall or look at the other two in the elevator.
Glancing over at the first person, the one without a Vision, they note the long brown hair tied up in a bun and the lady's fair skin. With a quick glance at her outfit, it seems to be something akin to the rest of the NPC's or non-obtainable characters in genshin. Therefore, Y/N quickly runs out of things to observe about her and they move onto the second one.
Looking over, they see a shorter boy with short blonde hair. It seems he's playing with a small... Penguin. It looks a lot like Pers actually. At a closer examination, it seems that the younger boy is actually Freminet.
Aww... He really is so babygirl coded. WAIT SHIT-
Y/N curses to themself inwardly because OF COURSE they have to encounter some of the most important people to every region. Freminet looks up almost as if he noticed Y/N's staring and they avert their eyes quickly. He observes their face for a moment before recognition dawns on him. Y/N takes a sharp breath in, their eyes darting in between him and the wall.
He breathes shallowly before slowly dragging his eyes down to his penguin. Luckily, at least for now, it doesn't seem like he'll say anything about their 'status'.
For the remainder of the lift, Y/N's eyes dart around, but always seem to find their way back to Freminet. Sometimes, he's looking down, but other times he is staring straight at them. Suddenly, the elevator stops and the doors open. Y/N's eyes look out as the two in front of them start to exit. Looking out and following them, their eyes widen as they see Lyney and Lynette talking together, most likely waiting for Freminet.
