The Mushroom Kingdom & It's Princess

Last time on Mario & Sonic SatAM, the freedom fighters not only met Dulcy the last Mobian dragon, but their hidden location of their hideout was discovered, allowing Robotnik to send his forces to attack it. Now as for the freedom fighters, they went into a cave to hide, only to fall in through a large hole that formed beneath their feet, and began rolling down to who knows where. At last, they finally stopped rolling down, allowing them to take a look at their new surroundings, which was an underground cave full of giant mushrooms. Sonic: "Mushrooms... ugh... I hate mushrooms..." Tails: "But at least we got away from the S.W.A.T. bots..." Cream: "Wow... they're glowing..." Amy: "I've heard that some mushrooms glow in the dark... looks like it's true..." Bunnie: "Oh ma stars... they're actually kinda pretty in the dark..." Mario: "Yeah... I have to agree with you on that..." Luigi: "Yeah... but why are they so big...?" Dulcy: "Yeah... this is odd... most of the mushrooms on the surface were nowhere this big..." Tails: "Maybe it's the soil here or something... who knows..." that was when Cream noticed that one of the mushrooms was moving a bit... like it had legs or something. Cream: "Hmm?" Amy: "Something wrong?" Cream: "I think that mushroom moved..." Knuckles: "Don't be silly, mushrooms can't move on their own." said Knuckles, before Cheese flew over to pick up a mushroom, only for the moving mushroom to come out of hiding, revealing that it was some species of some being that is like a mushroom with a face, arms and legs. This one was named Toad (voiced by John Stocker), and he noticed that Cheese was trying to pick one of the mushrooms. Toad: "No!, stop!, don't take that mushroom!, it's poisonous!" cried out Toad, startling Cheese and the other freedom fighters, for more reasons than one. Bunnie: "Oh ma stars!, a talking mushroom!" Toad: "Yeah, I'm a talking mushroom, you're a talking rabbit, what's your point?" Bunnie: "Eh... fair enough..." Toad: "Anyway, who are you?" Sonic: "I'm Sonic, and this is my team... well the dragon is actually with my sister, but she's with us too." Dulcy: "Hi there, is this your home?" Toad: "Yes, this is the Mushroom kingdom, and I am the princess's loyal protector." Amy: "Wow!, a real princess?!" Bunnie: "Um... Amy girl... Sally girl's a princess too." Amy: "Oh... well it's still amazing that we might get to meet another princess." Toad: "You know another princess?" Sonic: "Yeah, they're talking about my sister, Sally Acorn." Toad: "Wait... would she be related to King Acorn?" Sonic: "Yeah, he's our dad." Toad: "Oh... the late king of the Mushroom kingdom, and King Acorn were old friends in the past... tell you what, come with me." Mario: "Sure thing..." Luigi: "Following a mushroom... now we've seen it all..." Mario: "No kidding..." said the Mario brothers, before they and the rest of the freedom fighters followed Toad to a nearby castle, which was at the center of the Mushroom kingdom, and there they saw more mushroom people like Toad, who were all curious about the newcomers. Once they got inside, they went into the throne room, where they wait for the princess to arrive. Soon, the princess arrived, but to the heroes' surprise, she was not a mushroom person like Toad, but either a human or Overlander. Her name was Princess Peach Toadstool (voiced by Jeannie Elias), and the sight of her made Mario's heart beat faster while blushing a little. Mario: "Mama Mia..." Luigi: "Yeah... she's not what we were expecting at all..." Toad: "Her majesty, Princess Peach Toadstool, kneel before her." said Toad, before Sonic and the others kneel in respect. Peach: "Greetings everyone, I heard that one of you was King Acorn's child." Sonic: "Yeah, that's me, name's Sonic." Peach: "It's a pleasure to meet you Sonic, you look almost as much as your mother, Queen Aleena." Sonic: "You knew my mother?" Peach: "Well I met her years ago, but I heard she passed away when she gave birth to two children." Sonic: "Yeah... me and Sally... so your father was a friend of my father?" Peach: "Yes, long ago, the Acorn and Mushroom kingdoms were once allies... until the day the Acorn kingdom fell when Robotnik took over... and we were forced to hide underground..." Sonic: "Yeah... well we're on a mission to take him down and free Mobius from his evil rule." Peach: "Good to hear... and I see you made Overlander allies." said Peach, looking at the Mario brothers. Luigi: "Oh... we're not really Overlanders, we're humans, from the planet earth... in case you're wondering how we got here... you're better off not knowing..." Mario: "My name is Mario, and this my brother, Luigi... and together we're the Mario brothers... it's a real honor to meet you..." Peach: "Well it's nice to meet you too." suddenly, the sound of alarms were heard, and the mushroom people were in a panic. Cream: "What's going on?... I'm scared..." Cheese: "Chao, Chao..." Peach: "Oh no... he's back!" Sonic: "Who's back?" Toad: "The evil Koopa king, Bowser!" Mario: "What's a Koopa?" Toad: "They're like big mean turtle people that want to take over the Mushroom kingdom for years... and Bowser has had his eyes on the princess for some time now too." Amy: "I take it that he wants to marry her, but the princess refuses?" Toad: "Correct, and I can't blame her, Bowser is like one of the most evil beings on Mobius, besides Dr Robotnik of course." Luigi: "Great... like one big bad guy wasn't enough..." suddenly, the doors were taken down, and that's when the evil Koopa king, Bowser (voiced by Harvey Atkin), came to the scene, stomping his way to the princess. Bowser: "Alright princess, I've been waiting long enough, accept being mine, or I'll destroy the mushroom kingdom with my own hands!" Peach: "Never!, I wouldn't marry you even if you were the last man on Mobius!" Bowser: "Then you leave me no choice..." Sonic: "If you're gonna destroy this kingdom... you'll have to get through me first!" said Sonic, before he makes a dash towards Bowser, only the attack didn't work, and Bowser punched the hedgehog right into a wall. Amy: "Sonic!, are you alright?!" Sonic: "Yeah... either this guy's a lot tougher than he looks... or my power ring's out of juice..." Tails: "I think it's our rings... they're out of power!" Knuckles: "Ah!, out of all times for that to happen!" Bunnie: "Oh ma stars!, without power rings, we can't use our powers!" Cream: "What about your robotic limbs?" Bunnie: "Ma limbs only work through the rings too." hearing this made Bowser to laugh in an evil way. Bowser: "Well that's too bad for you, but as for me, talk about perfect timing... and I might let you live long enough to witness the wedding." Mario: "You're not forcing the princess to marry you on my watch!" Bowser: "And just what are you gonna do about it, little man?" Mario: "The name's Mario, and I'll... uh..." Toad: "Here!, eat this!" called out Toad, before he throws what looked like a little mushroom to Mario, who did what Toad told him and ate the mushroom. Once he did that, Mario suddenly felt a whole lot stronger, and began to grab Bowser by the tail, and started to swing him around and around, much to everyone's surprise. Luigi: "Whoa!, I never knew Mario was so strong!" Toad: "It's that power mushroom I gave him, it sort of works like the power rings, only it works better for beings like Overlanders or beings like them." Luigi: "You got one for me?" Toad: "As a matter of fact, yes." said Toad, before he gives another power mushroom to Luigi, who eats it and got enough power to throw a punch at Bowser. Once the punch was made, Bowser was sent flying out of the castle and out of sight, leaving the mushroom people have looks of shock and awe. Once the danger was over, Princess Peach went over to Mario, and kissed him on the nose, which made his whole head turn bright red through blushing. Peach: "Thank you Mario, that was very brave of you." Mario: "Oh... it was nothing really... Luigi helped out too..." Sonic: "Come on Mario, you were awesome back there." Toad: "Yeah, you should be called the Super Mario brothers." Mario: "Well... I don't know if that'll ever catch on..." Luigi: "I don't know... it has a nice ring to it." Knuckles: "Yeah... but what now?, our power rings are out of juice, and the only place to get more is gone with Knothole." Peach: "Fear not, for there's a lake of rings here too." Tails: "Really?!, that's great news!" Peach: "Yes, and you can use as many rings you need, it's the least we can do for saving me from Bowser." Sonic: "Well we didn't do much, it was Mario and his brother Luigi that saved the day this time." Peach: "Maybe, but they're with you, so you deserve as much credit, and besides, any family member of my father's friend is a friend of mine as well." Amy: "And even though Mario was the hero this time... you're still my hero." said Amy, before she kissed Sonic on the cheek, which made him blush a little and rubbing the back of his head with his hand.
