The Doomsday Project

Last time on Mario & Sonic SatAM, the freedom fighters found the Master emerald, only to lose it when Naugus betrayed them and uses the emerald for himself, only to lose it to Robotnik, who plans to use it for what he calls his Doomsday project. As night fell, Robotnik was examining the Master Emerald, when Snively came up to him. Snively: "What have you learned about the Master Emerald?" Dr Robotnik: "I'm still figuring it out... hmm... where's the on switch..." Snively: "Um... sir... I remembered something that the emerald has the power to turn thoughts into reality..." Dr Robotnik: "You think I don't know that part?, what I wanna know is how to make my thoughts become real..." Snively: "Try thinking of something while holding it." Dr Robotnik: "Alright... let's give it a shot..." said Robotnik, before he closed his eyes, thinking of what he wanted the most at the moment, and that was when the emerald started to glow, and if by magic, a cup of latte appeared in front of him. Snively: "A cup of latte?" Dr Robotnik: "Yes... with steam Austrian goat milk... my favorite..." said Robotnik, before he takes a sip and licked his lips. Snively: "Um... I don't want to interrupt your latte break..." Dr Robotnik: "Then don't... I'll get the Doomsday project finished and used soon... and when the sun comes up... it'll be the first day of a new world... my world!" said Robotnik, before he lets out an evil laugh that echoed throughout the city of Robotropolis. Back at the mushroom kingdom, the freedom fighters returned, seeing that not only Princess Peach and Toad were there, but also Sally as well. Peach: "Sally told me what happened to the emerald... and about Naugus..." Toad: "I knew that troll couldn't be trusted!, he had the look of evil written all over him!" Sally: "That's not important now, we need to get the emerald back from Robotnik before it's too late... for if the blueprints that NICOLE downloaded are real... this Doomsday project will end us all..." Sonic: "Then it's our primary goal to stop Eggman before he uses this project of his." Cream: "What is the Doomsday project..." Sally: "The blueprints said that it's supposed to be a gigantic version of the Roboticizer, which will unleash an energy wave that will turn everything and everyone of the whole planet into metal... meaning if we fail... there will be no one left to stop him..." Amy: "Oh no..." Knuckles: "And if he has the Master emerald... he'll no doubt be able to pull it off..." Tails: "Oh man... we're doomed then..." Mario: "Now wait a minute, let's not give up hope just yet." Luigi: "We can't?" Mario: "Oh course not, we still have time to stop him, and I know we're just plumbers... but ever since we got here... we did so many things no other plumber has ever done..." Luigi: "Going to another world?, making friends with aliens?" Mario: "Well that... and being heroes... and we can't give up now, or Robotnik will win for sure." Sonic: "Mario's right, if we believe that we can win, then there's nothing that can stop us." Dulcy: "Yeah, then what are we all sitting here for?, let's take down Eggman once and for all!" All: "Yeah!" so with that, Sonic, Tails, Amy, Knuckles, Bunnie, and the Mario brothers, went off towards Robotropolis with Sally and Dulcy, while Cream and Cheese stayed behind with Princess Peach and the mushroom people as they would be safer there. Sally: "I wished that I brought my team here, but there's not enough time." Sonic: "Don't worry, I'm sure there's enough of us to complete this final mission." Tails: "Yeah... but it's too bad Cream and Cheese had to stay behind as well..." Sonic: "True, but it's for the best, they're not ready to face a full scale battle like this... and don't worry, they'll be safe with the princess." Tails: "I know... but I was hoping to show Cream how cool I am while doing this..." Amy: "Oh... you have a thing Cream I see." said Amy with a smirk, making Tails to gasp in shock while blushing. Tails: "No!, it's not like that!, I uh..." Bunnie: "Come on Tails, there's no shame of admitting ya like Cream that way." Knuckles: "Uh... can we save this little chat after we get the Master emerald back and stop Eggman?" Tails: "Uh, yeah!, what Knuckles said..." Sonic: "Alright everyone... let's do this." Mario: "Yeah, let's a go!" soon, they were at the entrance to Robotropolis, but only to be stopped when they saw Bowser in front of them. Bowser: "Not so fast!" Sonic: "Oh not that guy again..." Sally: "You know him?" Tails: "Yeah, he tried to kidnap Princess Peach and sent the Mario brothers into the past." Bowser: "And my plans would have worked too if you didn't get in my way!" Mario: "Move it!, we have to stop Robotnik!" Bowser: "Sorry, well not really, but I didn't come up here to hear you telling me to get out of your way, I'll get the princess one way or another, but first I have to finish you off." Luigi: "Oh... Mama Mia..." Mario: "Sonic, you the others go ahead, we'll hold him off as long as we can." Sonic: "Are you sure?" Mario: "Yes, now go!" called out Mario, before Sonic nodded and zoomed into Robotropolis with the rest of the freedom fighters. Bowser: "So... you two are gonna face me alone?" Mario: "Yeah, but that's fine, for Luigi and I are more than enough to take you down." Luigi: "Got any power mushrooms?" Mario: "Sure do." said Mario, before he and Luigi eat some power mushrooms, and went to battle Bowser. Meanwhile in Robotropolis, Sonic and the others were looking for Robotnik, when suddenly, they heard the sound of an evil laugh through a speaker, a laugh they knew all too well. Dr Robotnik: "Greetings Sonic and friends... I see you came just in time to witness your upcoming doom..." Sonic: "Where are you Eggman?!" Dr Robotnik: "Don't call me that!, it's Robotnik and you know it!" Sonic: "Yeah, but I don't care, you're still nothing more than a rotten egg." Dr Robotnik: "Oh really?... well I beg to differ." said Robotnik, before he finally showed himself, while holding the Master emerald in his robotic hand. Knuckles: "The Master emerald!" Dr Robotnik: "Yes... and now witness it's power!" said Robotnik, before he closed his eyes, and a thought came to him, which caused the emerald to glow bright green, and that was when a large tower burst out of the ground, which was the Doomsday device itself. Tails: "Oh man..." Amy: "Is that... the Doomsday project...?" Sally: "As much as I hate to say it... yes... that's it..." that was when Snively came to the scene. Snively: "Whoa... it's even bigger than I thought..." Dr Robotnik: "Yes... and in a matter of minutes, the Doomsday project will release the energy waves that will turn all of Mobius into metal, including your freedom fighters." Amy: "You're insane Eggman!, you'll be turn into metal too!" Dr Robotnik: "Not really, I'll use the Master emerald to protect me, and I prefer machines over living things, I mean they're so darn stupid and never do anything right, while machines do what they're told and get the job done." Snively: "Wait a minute... what about me?, I'll get turned into a machine too and lose me free will..." Dr Robotnik: "That's correct, while mine will be fine as I have the power of the emerald to protect it." Sonic: "And here I thought you couldn't be more rotten... not caring for your own nephew..." Dr Robotnik: "Who cares?, nobody ever cared for me when I was just an orphan boy... the only company I ever had and need are robots." Bunnie: "That explains a lot..." Snively: "Uncle... how could you be so heartless?" Dr Robotnik: "The better question is... what color's my heart..." said Robotnik, before he opens his mouth and making Snively looked inside. Snively: "Uh... I don't see a heart..." Dr Robotnik: "Exactly!, now nobody can stop me!" Snively: "Uh... not even Sonic having the Master emerald?" Dr Robotnik: "What?!" gasped the mad doctor, seeing that while he was busy talking to his nephew, Sonic has gotten a hold on the Master emerald. Sonic: "You shouldn't let your guard down while holding this." Dr Robotnik: "Give me that emerald back!, I stole it fair and square!" growled Robotnik, before he tries to pull the emerald away from Sonic, who refuses to let go. Knuckles: "Be careful you two!, or else you might break it!" but it was too late, the force from both sides pulling caused the emerald to shatter into many pieces, much to everyone's shock and horror. Dr Robotnik: "Now look what you've done!" Sonic: "Me?!, you were the one who broke it!" that was when they heard the sound the Doomsday project powering up, ready to blow any second. Dr Robotnik: "I gotta shut it down before I turned into metal myself!" Snively: "Wait for me!" said Robotnik, before he and Snively left the scene, while Sonic and the others looked at the shards of the Master emerald. Sonic: "Oh man... this... is bad..." Knuckles: "I'll say... not only did we lost the Master Emerald for good this time... but we lost our chance on stopping Eggman's plan..." Amy: "But isn't Eggman out to shut it down now?" Bunnie: "Ah doubt he'll do it in time..." Tails: "Then... it's over... and I never got the chance to tell Cream that... um..." Sonic: "You like her?" Tails: "Well... yeah... as much as I hate to admit it..." Sonic: "Yeah... well before we all get turned into metal... I just want you all to know that you've been the best friends a speedy Mobian hedgehog could ever asked for..." Amy: "Thanks..." while they were all hugging each other, a 7 different colored gems came out of the Master Emerald's shards and Knuckles noticed it. Knuckles: "No way... the Chaos emeralds..." said Knuckles, before the Chaos emeralds went into Sonic, who started to turn yellow with a bright glow around him, and he started to fly up towards the top of the Doomsday Project tower. Amy: "What... just happened..." Knuckles: "Sonic's been fused with with Chaos emeralds... he has become Super Sonic!" said Knuckles in awe, as he watches Sonic flying into the air. Meanwhile, inside the Doomsday project tower, Dr Robotnik was having no luck on shutting down the device or the countdown, which was less then 1 minute. Snively: "Oh man... I never thought it would end like this..." Dr Robotnik: "Shut up!, and do something to help me shut this thing down!" suddenly, Super Sonic burst through the walls, and the two Overlanders starred in shock and awe. Super Sonic: "It's over Eggman, this war... and your evil rule... is done." Dr Robotnik: "Oh... that's a good new look for you... um... you wouldn't by chance have the power to stop this thing... right?" Super Sonic: "Why stopping it... when I can reprogram it?" said Super Sonic, before a bright flash of golden light came out of him, and the whole building glowed yellow. Suddenly, the countdown went to zero, and a large energy wave was released, and the energy waves spread throughout the whole planet. But instead of turning everything into metal like Robotnik intended, the waves did the opposite, it turned all the Robots into either Mobians or Overlanders, who were cheering in joy as they were back to normal. As for Robotropolis, it transformed back into the Acorn kingdom it once was before Robotnik's takeover long ago. Once the freedom fighters opened their eyes, they were amazed, but not as much as Bunnie was, who noticed that her limbs were back to normal. Bunnie: "Oh Ma stars... look at this... Ma legs and arm... they're normal again!" Tails: "Whoa... what happened?" Amy: "I think Sonic happened..." meanwhile, the Mario brothers finally defeated Bowser, who was now out cold. Luigi: "Hey Mario... look at the city... it's looking like the Acorn kingdom when we were in the past again..." Mario: "Yeah... I don't know how... but I think this could mean only one thing... Sonic won... Wha hoo!" said Mario in joy, as he and Luigi gave each other a high five. Back with the freedom fighters, they see Super Sonic back down to the ground, and see that he changed back to his normal blue color, while the Chaos emeralds were flying away to who knows where. Sonic: "Well... that takes care of the Doomsday project." Amy: "Sonic!, I knew you could do it!" said Amy, before she gives Sonic a big victory hug. Knuckles: "What happened to Eggman?" Sonic: "Don't worry, I sent him and his nephew to the void, where they won't harm anyone again, and they should keep Naugus company there too, though it will be hard to be a hero without a villain around." Amy: "You'll always be my hero." said Amy, before she gives Sonic a kiss, which he returned to her. Knuckles went to the shards of the Master Emerald, and collected them into his hands, before squeezing them together and soon the shards became the whole Master emerald again. Tails: "Whoa... you fixed it..." Knuckles: "Yeah... though I don't really knew that I could do it... somehow... I just knew..." Bunnie: "Well it looks like this war is finally over... and Ah think we should give Sugar hog and Amy girl some alone time." said Bunnie, as she and the others watched Sonic and Amy continued to kissing one another. Meanwhile, in the Void zone, Dr Robotnik and Snively were with Naugus, and all three were forced to watch Scratch and Grounder put on a puppet show to entertain themselves. Scratch: "Hey why is your puppet better looking than mine?" Grounder: "I used one of the troll's spells from his spell book." Naugus: "My spell book is not for you to play with!" Grounder: "Well sorry, but it's the only thing here to read." Snively: "How are you two still have your free will when your power rings have most likely ran out by now?" Scratch: "Naugus used a spell on us to keep our free wills, said it was a gift for the boss." this only made Robotnik to have his eyes twitching. Grounder: "Oh... I have another puppet, one that looks like that blue hedgehog." Snively: "Oh no... Dr Robotnik: "Hedgehog... I hate that hedgehog!, I hate him!, hate that blasted blue blur of a hedgehog!" screamed Robotnik in anger, which echoed throughout the whole void dimension.
