~Leaving for Good~

Part 6

Jay was asleep in bed. But woke up. When his sister's daughter walked in.

"Uncle Jay!" Kiara spoke up.

Jay opened his eyes, and noticed his niece.

"Kiara? You okay?" Jay yawned.

Kiara walked further in. And spoke.

"Mom's not in her bed..." Kiara replied.

Jay got up, and checked his phone.

"Okay. Did you check all the bed-." Jay stopped.

"Already did that. She's not in there..." Kiara interrupted.

Jay smirked, and nodded.

"Alright. Go get dressed for school. Hon." Jay smiled.

Kiara sighed, and walked out of the bedroom.

Once Kiara left. Jay got up, and got into some clean clothes.

Jay soon was making Kiara's lunch. While leaving a voicemail for his sister.

"Mel. It's Jay. Where are you? I'm taking Kiara to school. Call me." Jay explained.

Jay placed the lunchbox in Kiara's backpack. And handed it to her.

"Let's Go!" Jay remarked.

Jay and Kiara walked out of the apartment. And drove to school.

Soon. Jay walked into the district. And noticed Erin.

"Hey. You look like a nervous wreck. Everything okay?" Erin asked.

Jay sighed, and nodded.

"Yeah. My sister's gone out with her girlfriends. She wasn't home. I had to take Kiara to school." Jay responded.

Erin nodded, and buzzed her and Jay in.

As Erin and Jay walked into the bullpen. Jay's phone rang.

"Finally!" Jay whispered.

Jay answered the phone. And spoke.

"Where are you?" Jay started.

"Jay. I'm in trouble..." Melissa whispered.

Jay's heart cracked. As he heard his sister's voice.

"I have to go..." Melissa whispered.

The phone line ended. Jay whispered.

"Melissa..?" Jay asked.

Jay redialled Melissa. And didn't get an answer.

"What's up?" Erin asked.

Jay pressed end on the call. And spoke.

"My sister. She said she's in trouble. She sounds really scared..." Jay looked at the unit.

 Hank overheard the conversation. And he gave an order.

"You. And Erin. Check it out..." Hank ordered.

Erin and Jay nodded, and rushed downstairs.

After 5 Minutes. Erin and Jay got to the L platform.

Jay looked at the benches. And noticed his sister.

"Melissa...?" Jay called.

Erin and Jay rushed downstairs, and Jay ran up to Melissa.

Melissa was passed out on the bench. Her tights ripped.

"Melissa? Mel-." Jay stopped.

Melissa startled awake, and shrieked.

"It's okay! It's Me. It's Me!" Jay reassured.
