Hank was giving possible candidates to take the sergeant exam.  Kim, and Jay were one of them.

"Hey. You looking forward to acing this exam?" Erin asked.

Jay looked up, and nodded.

"Yeah. Hoping I will..." Jay smiled.

Erin squeezed Jay's shoulder, and sat at her desk.

"When do you go for your exam?" Kim wondered.

 "Umm. 12." Jay stated.

The unit nodded, and focused back on their paperwork.

It was time for Jay's exam. And he was pacing the halls.

"Your gonna be fine. Your gonna be fine..." Jay whispered.

As Jay paced. A candidate walked up to Jay.

"You here for the sergeant's exam?" Andrew asked.

Jay turned to look at Andrew. And nodded.

"Yeah. Are you?" Jay asked.

Andrew nodded, and cut Jay's face.

Jay gasped, and stumbled back.

"What the fuck..." Jay gasped.

Andrew came up to Jay. And grabbed him.

"Your hurting me..." Jay gritted his teeth.

Andrew pushed Jay to the floor, and kicked him in the stomach.

"Ugh!" Jay groaned.

Once Jay was on the ground. Andrew kicked him over.

Andrew smirked, and spoke.

"If I can't have the sergeant's exam. Nobody can..." Andrew snarled.

Andrew walked away. Leaving Jay on the cold floor.

The door soon opened. Kim noticed Jay on the floor.

"Jay?" Kim whispered.

Kim rushed over, and felt for a pulse.

"Damn!" Kim cursed.

Kim pulled out her phone, and radioed.

"This is Kim Burgess. Badge Number - 59686 - I got an officer down. Multiple injuries. Roll me an ambo to East 47th Street." Kim ordered.

Kim gently placed her hands on Jay's head. Stopping any bleeding.

"Your gonna be okay, baby bro. Your gonna be okay..." Kim reassured.

Soon. Jay was at Med. And the unit were all in front of his bed.

"Well. This wasn't what I meant by kill it." Hank smirked.

Jay chuckled softly, and tried sitting up.

"Does this mean...?" Jay started.

Hank sighed, and spoke.

"Jay. You got attacked. The board wants to try again next year..." Hank explained.

Jay sighed, and rubbed his eyes.

"I'm such an asshole!" Jay groaned.

Erin shook her head, and sat on the bed.

"No. Baby. You were provoked in an attack. This wasn't your fault..." Erin shook her head.

Jay smiled softly, and closed his eyes.

"We'll leave you to rest..." Hank suggested.

Jay nodded, and pretended to fall asleep.

The unit all left. After saying their goodbyes.

Once. The unit were gone. Jay got out of bed.

Jay put his suit back on. And left Med.

After a few minutes. Monique walked into Jay's room.

"Sir. We have to take you for some test-." Monique started.

Jay's bed was empty. Which made Monique worry.

As Monique looked around. She noticed Jay's gown on the floor.

"No! No!" Monique whispered.

Monique rushed out, and saw the unit.

"GUYS!" Monique called.

The unit stopped, and turned round.

"You okay?" Antonio asked.

Monique took a breath, and spoke.

"Mr Halstead's gone. His gown's on the floor. He has to get some more tests. We saw broken ribs. You have to find him." Monique explained.

Erin sighed. She knew where Jay was.

"Jay's gone to that fucking interview. He never takes care of himself..." Erin sighed.

Hank looked at the unit, and spoke.

"Kevin. Adam. You stay here. If Jay comes back. He'll need care. Kim. Antonio. Search this hospital. If Jay has broken bones. He can't of gone far. Erin. Me and you." Hank ordered.

The unit all nodded, and got on with their tasks.

Erin and Hank walked out of Med. And got into their car.

"Hank. If Jay's at that interview..." Erin started.

Hank looked at Erin. And soothed.

"Once. Jay broke all of his toes. He wanted to go to this birthday party. He felt fine. I knew. He wasn't. So, he went anyway. Camille called me. And said that Jay went to that party. I drove around. And do you know where I found him? At the corner of our house. He didn't even make it halfway to the party." Hank explained.

Erin giggled. She never knew that about Jay.

"There he is." Erin pointed out.

Hank parked where Jay was. And got out.

"Jay?" Hank called.

Jay looked at Hank and Erin. And sighed.

"What are you doing here?" Jay wondered.

Erin rushed over, and held Jay up.

"Because. Your meant to be at Med. Not gallivanting in the street. Come on. You got broken ribs. Your meant to be having tests. Not at an interview." Erin explained.

Jay sighed, and walked with Erin.

"Good Job. Lean on me. That's it..." Erin whispered.

Jay leant on Erin's shoulder. And slowly walked to the car.

After Awhile. Jay was back in his room. Gowned up. And hooked onto IV's. And heart monitors.

"Don't do that again..." Will whispered.

Jay nodded, and closed his eyes.

"DADDY!" Kaley babbled.

Jay opened his eyes, and smiled.

"Hi. Baby girl..." Jay smiled.

Kaley sat on the bed. And snuggled down.

"Woo got booboos!" Kaley exclaimed.

Jay laughed, and nodded.

"Yeah. I'm okay though..." Jay reassured.

Kaley nodded, and settled down.

After a few minutes. Jay, and Kaley were asleep.
