It's Time

The sun was setting and a nice orangish/pinkish/redish back drop covered the sky, everyone was outside beside each other. They were all discussing who was staying and who was leaving during this dangerous supply run, that they had to do. Rick had already decided the people who were staying, and his words his sharp with some people; but they understood why he was holding them back. Michonne, Carl, Tyreese, Sasha, Glenn, and Maggie were going with Rick and Daryl was going alone on his bike.

As much as Beth hated having to stay back, which were Hershel's orders; she also wanted to stay and talk to Carol and her daddy. Which was a win-win for almost everyone.

After the group separated; Beth watched as Daryl walked towards his bike. She followed after him and let him get on it before she spoke. He looked at the beautiful farm girl as he sat down, throwing his crossbow over his shoulder. Smiling wide, she crossed her arms and cocked her hip.

"What're you lookin' at Elizabeth?" Daryl asked, knowing how much this beauty hated her real name. She rolled her eyes and chuckled, biting her lip. The atmosphere around them turned to all seriousness as the girl's facial expressions turned to a poker face.

"Be careful out there.." Beth muttered, looking down at her feet.

"Hey, hey.." Daryl started, the girl glancing up. "Come here." He said, opening his arms for her to enter once she got closer to him. She looked around looking to see if Maggie or her dad were looking, and once she realized that no one was paying attention; she stepped foot into the mans open arms. "Imma be fine, don't worry."

"It's hard not to, y'know? You're goin' on a dangerous run an' I can't help but think somethin' is gonna happen." The girls voice was cracking slightly like it was when she was talking to the man that she loved just a few hours ago.

"I'll come back, an' I'll be fine. Just remember that I love you." Daryl put his hand on the back of Beth's neck and pulled her down gently, pressing a kiss to her forehead. She smiled and nodded, leaning back up and stepping back.

"I love you too." Was all she said, turning to walk away so her partner could get to doing what he was asked before he called something out.

"Got plans for when I come back?"

"Nope!" Beth piped out while rolling her eyes and walking back inside the prison.

Once she got inside she noticed Carol and Hershel were sitting down talking, and she figured that this was her change. Beth walked over to her father and the older woman and sat down, earning a confused look from both of them.

"Daddy," She started, taking in a deep breath. "I think I need to tell you somethin'." Her father reached over and placed his hand on top of hers and nodded, a smile spreading across his face.

"You can tell me anything, sweetheart."

Beth nodded and looked over at Carol who just watched the two, a small smile on her face.

"I don't know if you know this or not, but the other night when Maggie and Daryl were arguin' about me; I heard it. He told her he loved me, and.." She took a deep breath and looked down at her fathers hand, biting her lip. "I told him I knew. Daddy.. We talked about it and I love -"

"Beth, no." Hershel started, taking his hand off his daughters, a disappointing look covering his face.

Carol looked between the two and was about to stand up when Beth grabbed her arm and looked at her with pleading eyes, so the woman smiled a sad smile; sitting down beside the girl. She watched as Hershel's eyes drifted over, shaking his head.

"You can't tell me who I can, and cannot love. I love him, and that's the end of it. I don't care if you think that he's a bad man or whatever, because he's not. He saved my ass many times, and believe it or not, he wouldn't let anythin' hurt me. Daryl is just like us, he may be damaged; but everyone is a bit damaged."

"Damaged people are dangerous, Beth. I don't want anything to happen to you." Hershel's voice was stern now, and his daughter had tears welling in her eyes. The three knew that this wouldn't end well.

"They are, but damaged people know how to survive." Beth let out, her voice was shaky and so was she. This couldn't be happening like this.

"Well if they know how to survive, then he can survive without you. You're going to hate me after this, but you're no longer allowed to see him. If I see him anywhere near you, then you aren't going to like the consequences. I'll be sure to let Maggie know too."

Beth jumped up and backed away quickly, tears were now streaming down her face and her heart was shattering right there.

"Carol do somethin'!" The tiny girl yelled watching Carol's eyes soften.

"Hershel.." Carol started, getting a hand to the face by the man she was talking to.

"No. It's settled. Beth, go to your room."

"I'm not fucking 5 anymore! You can't keep me away from him!" Beth screamed, running up to Daryl's cell, slamming the door. She stepped over some things that the man she loved forgot to pick up when he returned.

Once she got close to his bed, she laid down and cried her eyes out. Her father just didn't get it; no matter how badly she wanted him to? She knew that her pleads and cries would never change the mans mind. All she wanted right now was to see Daryl, even if she wasn't allowed to. Nothing could tear her away from the man she loved. This love she felt for him was like no other, and she damn sure knew it was the same way with him. There wouldn't be a end between the two and Beth would make sure of it, no matter what she had to do. Thinking about this all, a deep sleep drifted through Beth, leaving only darkness for her to see.

After hours of everyone being gone, they finally returned. Daryl was the first to walk in and no one was in sight, so he took it as a sign that everyone was asleep. Walking up the stairs, he finally made his way over to Beth's cell; and when he seen that she wasn't in there, his heart dropped.

He backed out trying not to worry so his mind lead him to his cell. And that's where he found her, a wave of thankfulness rushed through him. She was all curled up, blankets covering her. He knelt down beside her and shook her shoulder; a small noise coming from her mouth. She shifted awake; rubbing her eyes only to see the man that she loves.

"Well aren't you a sight for sore eyes." Daryl joked getting a small smile out of her, and then her eyes widened, causing him to worry. "What's wrong?" He asked, grabbing her hand.

"My daddy.. He can't know I'm with you." Beth breathed out, looking behind Daryl quickly.

"What?"

"I talked to him and he told me that you aren't supposed to be seen with me or I wouldn't like the consequences." Daryl knitted his eyebrows together, confusing running through his veins.

"And you're following through with it?" He asked, standing up. Beth looked at him with guilty eyes, her heart beating rapidly at how he would react.

"It's only because I don't want anythin' to happen to you." She muttered, sitting up and taking his hand.

"Screw that! Where's he at? I'm gonna go talk some sense into that mother-" Beth cut him off with her standing up quickly, and pressing her soft lips against his rough ones. He took it by surprise, but he eventually kissed back. She deepened the kiss, wrapping her arms around Daryl's neck; causing him to bring his hands down to the girls waist.

Beth pulled away after a minute or two and smiled at the man that still had his hands on her waist.

"Why don't we just get away?" She asked, looking over at the door then back at Daryl who had another confused look on his face.

"What?"

"Lets get away. Lets pack our things and leave."

"Are you crazy?"

"Come on, lets do it."

With a few minutes of discussing, Daryl handed Beth a bag and smiled.

"Lets get to it then."
