Her eyes fluttered, a bright light from the cell window seeming to awake her. The sun was just beginning to rise, it was barely the crack of dawn. Sitting up slowly, she lifted her hand to rub her eyes.

Beth gazed around the room where she stayed in last night, and there was no sight of Daryl.

"Daryl?" She murmured waiting a few moments for him to appear from the corner of the cell door. But he didn't. She knew that he was smart, and that he was strong. Daryl Dixon could take care of himself. She knew that.

Her eyes happened to catch a glimmer of metal on the other side of the room before her. Upon closer look, she recognized his crossbow. She guessed that he just went to go use the bathroom, or something like that. But Daryl Dixon never left his crossbow behind, no matter what. It was a fact.

She slowly rose from where she was previously sitting, rubbing her eyes once more.

Walking out of the cell towards her sister who was just across the way; she sighed and smiled at the sight of Maggie; who seemed to be doing just fine. She scanned the woman and noticed the ring on her finger, which made the both of them smile wider.

"Mornin' sunshine." Maggie said giving her sister a small hug. Beth hugged her back, smelling the faintness of squirrel on the grill outside. It sent a wave of growling in her stomach, causing her to clutch onto her flat belly.

"Mornin'. I see Glenn did his dues!" The small girl said, cheerfully. Maggie arched a brow and cocked her hip to the side.

"You knew about it and didn't tell me?" She asked, appalled.

"Daryl and me. Yesterday we went on a supply run and he went and got it. When Daryl and I got back to his truck; he showed it to us. Then told us he had the perfect way to do it."

Maggie had a wide grin on her face as she nodded. "Yeah, he did it this mornin.' About an hour ago."

"How'd he do it?" Beth asked, curious.

"You know how we sleep in the tower?" Her younger sister nods, a smile still on her face. "Well, he left before I could wake up. Then I heard Carol yell my name, so I got up in a panic; running as quick as I could down the stairs. I thought something was wrong, so Carol and I ran to where Glenn was and as soon as we got there, he was on one knee; doin' it."

Beth couldn't help but to throw her frail arm around her sister and giggle. "I'm so happy for you!" She yelped out earning a laugh from Maggie. "I'm gonna go get some food. See ya' later." She said, pulling away from her older sister who just nodded and went walking towards Hershel's cell.

Once the girl got outside, she walked straight over to Carol who had a smile plastered on her face.

"Look who's up." She said gleefully. Beth nodded and laughed, grabbing a bowl of squirrel from Carol's hand. "Did you hear about Maggie and Glenn's news?" She asked, turning; tongs in hand.

"Yes, indeed. You must of done a good job if you got Maggie to wake up and run." They both laughed and Carol nodded. Beth caught Daryl sitting down near his bike with a bowl in his hand. "Thank you for this, I'm gonna go talk to Daryl. See you later."

Beth walked over to the man sitting on the ground, tearing the squirrel apart with his teeth.

"Hey there, Dixon." She said smiling, he southern accent evident. Daryl looked up; squinting to shield the sun from his eyes.

"Mornin' cowgirl." He muttered, shoveling another piece of squirrel into his mouth. "Sleep okay?" His voice was calming as Beth sat down beside him. Everyone seemed in a good mood today; which made the farm girl very happy.

"Great. How'd you sleep?" She asked putting some food into her mouth and making a face at the burnt pieces.

"Pretty good, although you kept pushing me in your sleep." Once he said that, Beth laughed and shook her head.

"Well, don't sleep with me anymore." Daryl made a face at the girl and scoffed, looking back ahead towards the fence that only had a few walkers

"You slept with me, if I do recall."

"You let me."

Daryl looked over at Beth, a small smile on his face. He was never the one for being happy, even if it was just being a little happy. Never really happened, and he couldn't even remember the last time that he was actually fully happy. The girl looked over at him and smiled, a blush creeping its way onto her face, causing the man to laugh slightly.

"I'll remember that." He muttered, looking at his bike. Early mornings he either hunted or worked on his bike, and the second option was his only option this morning. Rick wouldn't let him leave and he didn't know why, but he didn't want to argue so he just settled with his bike.

"How do you get up so early in the mornin'?" Beth asked, sitting up slightly.

"I barely sleep in this shit world. Just a thing that changes after awhile, you know?" Daryl asked, setting his bowl down and intertwining his fingers together. He could see Beth nod in his peripheral vision.

"Well you need to sometimes." She let out, pushing him lightly with her shoulder. Beth smiled and felt the heat beat down on her shoulders. "I think I'm gonna-" Her words were cut sharp when she heard Maggie's blood curdling scream erupt. Daryl and Beth both jumped up as Maggie came running, Glenn, Carl, Rick, and Carol behind her.

"Somethin's wrong with daddy and I dunno what, but I need you now!" And with that, Beth's heart sunk to the ground.
