Wood Zone is located South of Station Square. It's a large deciduous forest that's thick in vegetation, sky towering trees, and home to many flowers and wildlife. Nestled in the heart of the forest is a mini house which at first glance, may seem like it has been abandoned for a very long time. Some parts of the sidings are layered in moss and in need of a paint job. The roof could use a fixing too, with some shingles slowly ripping apart, and the windows are stained and mostly covered in spider webs, but it's still possible to tell what it looks inside. In reality, it's the headquarters and home to Team Chaotix Detective Agency.

Inside, Team Chaotix is waiting for their next case. Their home and office is in need of some spring cleaning, but the trio doesn't seem to mind the dust covered shelves, their couch leaning due to a missing leg, or even their trash being half-full that much.

Things have been quiet for some time for Team Chaotix because they hadn't worked on a big case in months, and cases they recently worked on had paid so little that they couldn't cover long overdue bills. Now, it's been weeks since they had work, and money is starting to be tight. However, they know eventually they'll get a case so that they can get their bills paid, but the only way to do that is to wait for someone who would call for their services.

Instead of paying attention to their phone for that very call, Vector was leaning in his chair and was zoned out as he was listening to music that would fit his taste. His arms was crossed, eyes were closed and he was bobbing his head to the rhythm of his favorite tunes.

Espio was at the other side of their office meditating as he was balancing himself on his tail. He was in full inner peace with himself that, while he looked just as zoned out as Vector, he was fully aware of everything going on. As a ninja, mediating like this is always important so he can be spiritually balanced with himself and the environment around him.

Meanwhile, Charmy, the youngest member of Team Chaotix, was fully invested in his coloring book. The young bee was sitting on a chair as he colored in the last few parts of the image, humming the Team Chaotix theme song as he finished. He looked at the image he colored, which was a dragon eating a cake and was happy to see it colorful and complete. He quickly leafed through all the pages and proudly closed the book knowing he colored it entirely. He stopped humming his team's theme song and look around the room. Sensing the atmosphere is too calm and still for his liking, he leaned his head back on the chair and groaned.

"Ugh, I'm sssooooo bored!" He complained.

This caused Espio to lose concentration and looked at Charmy with one eye open.

"We just bought you a coloring book." He said.

"I know, but I got all the pages colored in and now I have nothing to do!" He then proceed to fly around the house in random swift directions. Espio knew it was best to let him be at the moment and tried to focus on mediating again.

"Espio, when are we going to have a case?" Charmy asked as he started doing figure eights.

"When someone needs us, they will call. Right now, it's best that we be a little more patient."

"But being patient is boorrrriinngg!" He grumbled. "It's been a loooonnnnggg time that we worked on a case! I wanna do something exciting like kicking bad guy butt!"

Suddenly, the phone starting to ring, which got Charmy excited.

"Yay!!! We're getting a case!!! We're getting a case!!!" Beamed an elated Charmy.

"Vector, the phone!" Said Espio because their crocodile friend was the closest to the phone to answer. But he was so centered in his music, he wasn't hearing him.
